Another happy thought: my husband took my son to see the new sonic movie. I’m home alone. I really want some cookie dough, which is in the fridge downstairs. I don’t have to get dressed to go get it.
At a brewery watching the KU game, they ran out of their DIPA and gave me the last 10oz pour on the house.

22 yo never showed much interest in NFL football. She’s spent the last half-school year in Finland & is home for Christmas. After getting home from church this morning, she eagerly announced that the Chiefs-Steelers game is on Netflix, loaded it up, mutes it during commercials, unmutes it when the game comes back on, and is following along and reacting to the action. Brings a happy-tear to dad’s eye.

A friend gave us their leftover turkey carcass from Xmas. We now have it in the stock pot with herbs and veggies. It is already tasting amazing!!!

It’s the end of December, and I’m on a bike today in NE Kansas because it’s 50° and still getting warmer. Trying to enjoy it while it lasts, it’ll get real cold soon enough.
