Couldn’t get a flight home at a reasonable hour today so I’m in DC for another night. Heading out now for oysters and likely other assorted foods dragged out of the ocean. Yes, please.

Atlanta weather is relatively nice, but it sucks in summer. I’m enjoying the first NFL game of the season out on the porch and its glorious

I think i posted about this before on the AO. When we bought our current house 13 years ago, one of it’s best features was the giant screened porch. I wanted a TV out there, but wondered if an “outdoor TV” was worth the extreme price premium on a covered porch. Decided no, cheaper to replace every few years if needed. Still have the same porch tv. Looks good

the courtyard of my house is quite overgrown. I cut a bunch back about once a year, relentlessly it grows back. I love that half a dozen animals (a couple of chipmunks, I think one squirrel, and a couple of doves) are permanent residents there. Makes me happy to be sitting at this desk, watching Dale the chipmunk scamper about.

So good.
Made steak and potatoes Saturday. Greek lemon chicken and rice on Sunday. Daughter and granddaughter came over and stayed the night which was fun.
Got the whole backyard cleaned up and a bunch of brush burned. My son came over and introduced us to his new gf, they stayed til almost 2am on Saturday, we had a campfire in the back yard. TIL 2am is way to late for someone my age. I was starting to nod off lol.
