I think if the word had been CATCH or HATCH there would have a lot more busts (including myself)
It’s really strange how much we (and I include myself) care about how we do in a game that’s just one of us and the computer. Personally, I prefer to take a chance at getting it earlier, and lose no sleep if I don’t get it in 6 (but am a little annoyed at myself). Maybe it’s a better challenge to try to figure out ways to get it in 6. Neither approach will mean much to my self esteem.

Same. I saw “toady”, and thought, "should i look for other possible words? Naw, it will give me lots of good placement info even if it’s wrong. Then i saw the result and thought, “duh”. Typing this, my phone even corrected “toady” to “today”.
