Will you get the vaccine as soon as available to you?

Thanks, i hadn’t seen that.

Do you have stats on that, for every age group?

I haven’t read the entire article yet. it just appeared in my home page.

Everyone in my wife’s family and friend group and my immediate family should be fully vaccinated by the second week of April.

2nd has been a bit worse than first but fortunately nothing bad. Had injection site soreness that I had with 1st shot, but also had some minor chills and aches and pains that I didn’t have with 1st shot. Sleeping last night was a bit rough. But otherwise nothing serious.

So, we have a house in a 2nd state, and that state, I could potentially be eligible when I visit next month, depending on how many vaccinations they administer between now and then. If I was and I was able to get an appointment, I totally would. Part time resident is good enough in my book. Even if I had to poke around for a 2nd shot once I returned to my primary home. I think it’s kind of an unofficial rule that you qualify for a second dose after you get the first one, regardless of how you got the first one.

you might be eligible in your first state too by then.

but yeah, that is definitely legit.

Well, everyone is supposed to be eligible, starting May 1. My home state will probably be exactly that.

Also, both my parents got their 2nd Pfizer dose yesterday. My mom, who had really bad nausea after her first dose, nothing with #2. My dad had significant muscle soreness but nothing too bad.

Nice. Canada is so behind!

it’s way too early for drama!

How do I get the ‘I got vaccinated’ thing on my avatar? I tried looking at my settings but I’m probably just a moron and can’t figure it out.

I’m not going to be baited. I’ve already outlined why I think it’s important to follow the outlined protocol. Some states are letting everyone get vaccinated, others aren’t, and while some of the rules at this point seem arbitrary, making sure people who need to get vaccinated are getting vaccinated is important. Some states have more people with higher risks, some states have different criteria on how to determine eligibility, and ultimately I don’t want people getting trampled to death trying to get a vaccine because it’s a chaotic mess.

I think that was more important in the beginning, not when over 20% of the population has gotten at least their first dose… The truly at risk either already had at least their first shot or don’t want it or don’t have access to a computer and that’s a whole other issue.

now the rules are arbitrary in the mass vaccination sites. at pharmacies it is still limited to people over a certain age.

I think you and I disagree on who is “truly at risk” because you refuse to accept that obesity makes someone a higher risk.

if they are obese and they work from home, they ain’t getting covid anyway.

i also know a pretty obese person who had a minor case and skinny people die too.
