Walgreen’s has appointments for the new Pfizer as soon as Wednesday in my area. I’ll get it sometime this month.
just booked the booster for weekend after next. next weekend was full. didn’t feel like doing it next weekend anyway and also want to make sure i didn’t catch covid on the flight i just took prior to getting the booster.
it asked me what my last booster was and just slotted me for moderna as a result.
Just curious: did you tell them moderna or just tell them you were one of the kool kids (or initially tell them kool kids and they needed more info)?
Wife and kids are getting it Saturday, I’m getting it next Monday.
If it only asked for her last booster then it sounds like she didn’t have the opportunity to explain that she had J&J first.
Just moderna. They didnt ask what my initial doses were, just what my booster was, so they do not know how cool i am.
:duh: I did not notice the “it asked” and was treating it as “they asked”. But in theory there could still have been a free form response box or three options: “kool kids” “moderna, but not kool kids” “pfizer”
I don’t know why walgreens doesn’t care that im in the cool kids club. It’s strange.

Triple moderna here, might try out pfizer with this one. Probably going to time it for next month based on my travel/event plans
my mother and sister and father’s nurse don’t want to get my father the omicron booster because he got sick from the original moderna vaccine. he got one pfizer booster late last year that he had no reaction to at all. i’m not gonna push it since it’s 3 against one, but idk about this.
i suppose if he gets covid, they have better drugs now to wipe it out, but still, i go back to he had no reaction to pfizer at all so why not get him the pfizer booster?
even with moderna, the booster is a lower dose than the original series, so he could be fine with that too.
That would be my opinion as well. Sorry that it’s 3-1 against common sense.

Honestly can’t tell if you’re hamming it up or actually still taking early 2020 Covid level precautions.
I think he is mostly serious.
I have standard check up tomorrow. I think I’m due for shingles vaccine and I’ll ask them about COVID booster while I’m there. They usually have. A flu shot clinic late September or early October but if I can get it all knocked out at once I’d be happy to do so.
