Second Pfizer shot for me tomorrow
My doctor’s office called me yesterday asking if I or anyone I knew 16+ was interested in getting the vaccine, as they have a surplus and want to reach out before returning to the state. Not hopeful to hear.
more J&J blood clots, up to 15, all women, some over 50 now. still a low number, but still all women. maybe they should say it’s safe for men? idk.
had i known about this prior to getting he vaccine, i probably would have opted for one of the other two.
Rare J&J Vaccine-Linked Clot Cases More Than Double to 15 (msn.com)
I’m ambivalent about losing my J&J appointment. Even though I’m a dude and it’s a one in a million thing, I’m glad I ended up with a safer vaccine. But, had I kept my original appointment, I would be close to full protection now. I won’t be fully protected now until the end of May. It’s not such a bad thing because there are some things that I’m comfortable doing like going to a restaurant and outdoor sporting events, but I have some friends who aren’t going to want to hang out with me until 2 weeks after my Pfizer #2.
What happened to the clique!?
we’re still a cool clique and still have Rachel! we have some troubles though.
you have friends who ask for your vaccination status prior to agreeing to hang out with you? seems extreme if they are vaccinated.
Among my friends, it’s offered information if we are talking about getting together.
Most of my friends don’t want to hang with me until they are fully vaccinated. I’m older than most of them, and got it sooner. My bridge buddies are all older than I am, and all got it before me, but we need to wait for my husband to be vaccinated to play bridge in person.
I guess they have asked him about that.
No they did not, I just have a couple of friends who have been following CDC guidelines very strictly so I am assuming visiting friends will follow CDC guidelines as well.
I also shared my vax status on FB so they don’t need to ask.
Saying “I’m partially vaccinated” never gets old. Well, it will after #2
Same. Most of my friends and family aren’t interested in getting together indoors anywhere before getting vaccinated. We are all talking about get togethers soon now.
I get together every couple of weeks with a few guys where we sit around the fire pit and drink bourbon. With plenty of distance between us, seems pretty low risk.
Hey, me too! Except it’s Scotch and Irish Whiskey and locally brewed ales. I like having it at my house, so I don’t have to drive.
The host lives close so I always walk
I’m still curious what god given inalienable rights you are upset about losing.
And for that matter, why it bothers you that the threat is a germ. Germs have killed a great many people over the years.
Checked in and waiting for first moderna shot now.
Right to freely assemble. Right to associate.

What do you think of ordinances (fire codes) that limit the number of people in a building for safety purposes?
Do those not infringe on the same rights?
