You can get two quotes into a single post if you highlight one, choose “quote”, then highlight the other, choose “quote”

I also had a horrible realization that the driverless car thread, chock full of wildly optimistic projections, may be in a section of AO that is permanently gone. That’s one I would’ve attempted to copy over if I’d thought of it in time.
I am the queen of having a great idea twelve hours too late to do anything about it. 
(Testing iPhone emojis, but would still like to know how to use site emojis.)

This software understands all the standard emojis. On my phone, i just click the same emoji button i would use if i were writing a text
On my laptop i don’t have emojis handy, but if i type a “:” and the start of a standard acsii emoji, it usually offers me something appropriate. The standard two character smile suggests “slight smile” (inside colons) for example.
Don’t you have an emoji button in the post box? I do. Perhaps it’s not there on mobile, I’ll have a look later. 
Oh! Yes there is. I have never used it. I mostly use my phone and the emoji button on my phone keyboard is easy and obvious, so i didn’t look farther.
on my phone i had to press a button in order to get the emoji button, so 2 buttons. i didn’t notice it at first and instead was just typing “:” and guessing. on a pc the emoji button is just there already.
not a fan of threads being one long thread rather than turning pages, but i guess i’ll get used to it. i always had my settings on the ao as 10 per page cause i liked it that way. made me feel like i was accomplishing something with turning pages. when someone would accuse me of being a noob who didn’t know better that just made me like 10 per page even more.
Yeah. I could generally guesstimate where an old post I wanted to reference was in the page list. Not sure I’ll be able to do that as well with just post numbers.
I use the “unread” feature a lot. That takes me to the newest post in a thread.
I like not having pages. 
yeah, i use the unread feature all the time. i guess that is a suitable replacement. i just have to get used to it.

tough call whether long threads or 25 posts per page is better. Personally I liked 25 better. Best eyes on AO had no trouble recognizing noobs by their ppp setting.
Kinda like how VLOOKUP was replaced with INDEXMATCH
