Why doesn’t it bring the text along when I reply to something, given that the comment isn’t in line? I really only use FB and LinkedIn for discussion at this point, so I don’t know how to use this! #oldfogey

At the top right of your post there is an icon with the reply arrow and the avatar of the poster you are responding to. If you click that, the text you responded to appears. Also, if you look at the post you responded to you can see that there is a reply at the bottom left of that post. Clicking on that brings up your reply.

Here’s how “quote” works here: Highlight the text you want to quote. Then there will be a “quote” option directly above the highlighted text. Go for it.

Thanks, that’s pretty cool. I like the way the threading works OK too…efficient with screen real estate.

Yes I think in general this forum is more advanced than ao in terms of functionality. Just needs to get used to it a little bit. The developers are still exploring the functionalities in terms of add-ons, so I’m sure there’s more to come.

I can still ping the server though…so it exists kind of. Who knows if the IP address got mapped elsewhere though.

wish i downloaded my pm’s one last time, but i downloaded them about a week ago, so i guess that’s good enough.

I did feel like it was in this strange purgatory where only a small subset of users could log on.

Maybe now more people will start to use this one, and it can become like the old AO was before it went zombie.
