Lovingly reheated Domino’s pizza. Now having a poppy seed roll and green tea.
Kibbee sandwich, humus, babaghanoush, tabouli.
Not lunch, dinner: bone marrow. Never had it before, pretty nice. Definitely a different experience.
Beef stew on creamy mashed potatos. ![]()
Cheese & crackers. A piece of an apple but it was mushy so I didn’t eat the rest. Chocolate covered almonds. If I get hungry this afternoon I’ll dig around for some fruit.
Chicken breast, brown rice and an orange pepper
Half an avocado
sandwich, Cheetos (crunchy, of course), tangerine, choc chip cookie
Somebody left half a bag of peppered fried pork rinds on the “free-to-take” table in the break room. Hip_tiger_wife scowled me out of buying them long ago. But I’m taking these “to take them off their hands as a favor …” ![]()
Lentil salad. I think it would have been better with half the lentils but it wasn’t terrible.
Also some mixed fruit: mango, pineapple & strawberries
A protein shake and some sugar free kombucha.
Leftover spaghetti
Some leftover basmati rice with some sesame chicken from one of those hermetically sealed packages that just happened to be dirt-cheap on clearance, plus peanuts.
Turkey sandwich on some sketchy looking bread. Top crust looked either moldy of floury, couldn’t be sure. So I cut off the crust, problem solved for today.
ham and swiss on some multigrain/multiseed dave’s killer bread, blueberries, cherry cola zevia
Avocado toast, grapes, mini cupcake.
Worked through lunch today, but it’s taco night in a bit.
Cheese omelet
So I had homemade banana bread that was on the counter for breakfast the other day. On WFH days if I eat breakfast I generally eat breakfast after others have cleared out. Later that day the remainder of the loaf was in the trash. I asked wife if she had thrown away. She replied, “Yes. I started to eat some for breakfast, but it was moldy so I left it out to throw away later.” Hmm.
Ramen with steak and a six minute egg.
And for dessert, my first affogato. Pretty good.
Chaffles (Cheese and egg) with sugar-free syrup.
I can’t tell if they are so great tasting because of the lack of sugar I’ve been eating, or if they’re just really that good. Crunchy, and versatile.
