Got some much needed girl/beach time this weekend. Sunrise was beautiful. Beach surprisingly not crowded at all.
Was hoping to watch Artemis launch yesterday but no go.

We went to a friend’s cottage yesterday. They were supposed to have a gathering in January for their 25th anniversay, but COVID. It was also her 50th birthday. He made 50 pounds of chicken wings and smoked a 27 pound brisket!!! (@ArthurItas 
) And of course there were beers, coolers, and hard likker!!
Right now, my gf and I just finished dim sum on the sbux patio and enjoying hot drinks and some cinnamon coffee cake!!

At a local brewery now, going to two others later. Then a BBQ after that.
The shrooms exhibit was pretty cool. The kids had a good time.
Today I have been quilting for a few hours. I timed each block of my 42-block quilt from hell (I’m now through 18 of them), and each one takes roughly an hour. Plus about an hour of prep work for each row (6 in a row), plus the dozens of hours I already put in to making the 2,400 individual pieces.
wed: free concert on the beach. Stones cover band
thu: Met Game with wife
fri: set up house for multiple people sleeping over. very long walk by ocean, cigar. Then dinner out with BiL & SiL
sat: my 3 kids, 2 SOs, 2 grandkids came in.

wife took rest to dinner
sun: everyone at beach. Grilled, stayed late
mon: breakfast with the crew. Everyone went home. put house back in order. Spent afternoon at the beach.

Friday: Went to local small town festival/carnival. Daughter won a duck that she won’t let go
Saturday: Caught a bunch of catfish
Sunday: Went back to the same festival and grill out and watched fireworks
Monday: Set up trail cameras and finished setting up duck blind

Took a bunch of uwaterloo students to timmins camping on crown land.
One guy did a timelapse overnight, caught the northern lights.
The folks one campsite over went fishing on Sunday and caught about 20 fish. They brought them over and I did a fish fry for all of us.
Had a blast. Most of them had never been camping before, nevermind canoeing, being that far north, or seeing a fish outside the supermarket.
It was a bit of work staying on top of 10 20yo’s, my tackle box is a nightmare lol, but worth it.

a friend was in Northern MN and said the lights were amazing this weekend!
Friday: went to World Fest 2022 in Louisville. Had a Lamb Gyro which was amazing then took my wife to Graeter’s for ice cream
Saturday: Daughter had a volleyball match in the AM and my wife and I spent the night in Cincinnati. We had dinner at an Argentinian steakhouse that was amazing.
Sunday: We went to Jungle Jim’s in Cincy which is basically a grocery store with packaged foods from all over the entire world. Didn’t buy anything, but saw all sorts of interesting things like insect candies and a dried scorpion. No thanks for me, but whatever floats your boat.
Monday: I played golf with 3 friends and shot my best round of the year with an 83.

Just be glad he isn’t dyslexic.
First HS football home game Friday. Concessions not as smooth as I intended, but I survived. Napped a lot Saturday. Sunday dinner at Mom’s, Monday mid-day rain cancelled pool plans (and any yard work), but not the evening grilled burgers.
Family BBQ and some chores. Slept over 8 hours one night which was awesome.
