i slept well over an hour at the beach after everyone left

I may have slept 8 hours over the entire weekend.
Friday night. dinner in. TV. Finished two books
Saturday. went to beach. cleaned up and closed up the cabana. Nice dinner out on water with our group of friends
Sunday. Football watch party at friend. Pool and hot tub, but weather did not fully cooperate
Went to a baseball game. It was fun.
did that Monday
Spent a few hours putting my rods and reels back together from the time I took students camping. A lot of just cutting the whole line off and restringing. My gawd, what a mess that was. I realized that I seem to be fussy about the organization of my tackle box and rods and reels. I don’t get worked up if someone makes a mess, but I definitely prefer them in good working order and organized all the time.
Completed the honey-do list, so check on that.
Almost finished my calculus assignment due a week tuesday, so check. Still to do, find the error in the proof that if one dog is shaggy, therefore all dogs are shaggy.
Looked at an error checking spreadsheet for a bit, found a bunch of errors, and the algo is throwing out a ton of incorrect errors. I’ll deal with that tomorrow.
Made lentil soup for supper, made a double batch so enough to give to my daughter plus store some in the freezer for future lunches.
Pretty relaxing weekend actually.
Happy thoughts, I like looking forward to work monday morning. Got a couple interesting things to do, including defining a marketing idea I’ve had kicking around the last month, so will have to have a meeting with my marketing intern and my marketing mentor. Gotta love those, they both tend to kick my ass in those meetings. Them: There’s an order to this, we need to research, validate etc. Me: FULL STEAM AHEAD AND DAMN THE TORPEDOES.
Friday I cooked a big meal of char siu, gai lan, and eggplant, delivering a healthy portion of each to my elderly inlaws.
Saturday I watched a little football then went to a soccer match.
Sunday I took a long walk, did some spanish lessons, watched soccer+football, and did some travel planning.
Friday: went to dinner, then Temple for friends’ baby naming
Saturday: watched a movied, cleaned BBQ, ran some errands, sat with FiL for few hours, out for dinner
Sunday: sat with FiL, while all ladies at family bridal shower. Went to Mets game
Crazy weekend here. My son was in the homecoming Friday night and he had a tennis tournament. It’s my daughters birthday so she had friends spend the night all weekend. We had a big Welcome Back thing at church. I squeezed in 9 holes of golf at dusk Saturday and today. Lots of stuff, but feeling pretty good today.

Flew to MKE for Cheese Days in Monroe, WI.
Friday. Got to Cousins house and helped with a hop harvest, then drove to Monroe. Friday night - bonfire and set up tents and visit with family (about 25 of us showed up)
Saturday - Ran a few miles with MiniT-2, Went to the Cheese Days Festival to do the family picture, grab cheese, watched the “Bock Run”, met Gene Simmons from Kiss (The distillery there was selling his Vodka called “moneybag”), went to New Glarus (the city - the brewery was closed - bummer).

We had our son’s birthday party on Saturday, which was fun. I think we had about ten kids and a half dozen of the parental units. The kids just milled around, played video games, acted like teenagers. My son’s group of friends is super interesting (in a good way). Grilled burgers, had some beer, nothing fancy.
Yesterday I rode the bike for an hour and was generally lazy otherwise.
Went on a weekend getaway with the wife for our anniversary

It was an exciting 4th quarter!
It’s also quite a spectacle to be at an NFL game these days.
I know. I went to a preseason Ram game (free for me). Gawd it was loud. Distracting from the product, which, as we know, is 15 minutes’ worth of entertainment spread over 4 hours. Nice looking stadium, though.
Preseason isnt really the same atmosphere here, although certainly you get subjected to the visual and audio displays there too.
Planned to go to the Irish Festival street fair in town and apple picking with the Grandkids
Ended up doing a lot of little errands around the house, while wife sat with her sick dad
Got grass put on cattle panels for brushing duck blind.
Got wood moved up to the house for the fireplace.
Got boat winterized.
Got garage cleaned.
Watched my teams Iowa and Rams combine for 16 points
