Season 2 has Vanya interested in a mother of a special-needs child. So . . . make of that what you will . . .
I hope he can pull it off, after once playing a pregnant teenager so well.
Mustâve taken notes from Ah-nold.
My sonâs chosen name if not shortened has the same ending sound as their birth name, but the first part is quite different. I think they chose it on purpose to get away from the girl name (even though the girl name was historically male). They still get called by their middle name by my exâs side of the family, which is actually my brotherâs nickname, but theyâve been asking not to be called that name since they were 5, so didnât go with that name either.
I have an easier time remembering the shortened version of their new name than the longer, because there are multiple names it could be short for, and they rarely say the full version.
I am old enough to remember this only being a problem for people becoming Muslim - Cassius, Lew, Robert (Moore)
which I can deal with better than Lloyd (Free); or Ron (Artest)
Currently watching Queenâs Gambit
In my queue (besides British Baking & variations)
Master of None
Schittâs Creek
House of Cards
Which I all believe are done. I prefer binging completed series
Also
Babylon Berlin (which is in German, so need to watch when I am not multitasking)
3rd Season Shtsel (Hebrew) when available
Peaky Blinders (done? skipped a year?)
and ongoing, so Iâll wait
Ozark
Better Call Saul
Grace and Frankie
Chefâs Table
Shameless
Any obvious omission? (have seen Breaking Bad, The Bulls Documentary, Murder of Versace).
Looking for quality, not just popular (Tiger King)
Anything Emmy or Golden Globe nominated a plus
Some done ones that are good:
Dark
Narcos
100
The 100? (so many close titles)
all added
Yeah I think so. The 100. Sci-fi ish.
Dark isnât in english, but the english dub is superb, I recommend watching it with English dub.
Narcos is about Pablo Escobar, so half of it is in spanish.
How do you like The 100? I watched the first season, but never kept up for some reason.
I actually think it got better and better. I thought it was going to be a fairly linear one-dimensional plotline, but every season is actually different. And the finale season actually tied together everything fairly well. And actually got a bit trippy, which is my type of show.
The acting definitely got better too, since in the first season most of them are fairly young.
I was a big fan of Sneaky Pete on Prime. It was cancelled after its third season. While there was no big wrap-up episode, there were no huge plot lines left dangling.
Iâm nearly finished with the available episodes of Lucifer on Netflix, I understand thereâs supposed to be another 1.5 seasons to finish it up.
Waiting for Letterkennyâs next season to drop on 12/26.
We canât binge it because they release an episode a week, but Star Trek Discovery has me looking forward to Fridays (releases on Thursday, but I like it being the first thing I watch when Iâm done with work for the week).
Finished the last available Call the Midwife episode a couple weeks ago, I hate waiting for new seasons to come to Netflix so I try to string them out a little.
Queenâs Gambit was very good.
If you consider chess a sports movie, try Searching For Bobby Fisher
Queenâs Gambit was good.
Enjoyed both season of Umbrella Academy (with Elliot Page) and both season of the Boys looking forward to season 3 of both.
Current watching Erased - an anime series from 2014 or 2015 I think , only 1 season
Looking forward to the released of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (netfilx) and the Expanse (amazon prime) both of which I think are supposed to be final season wrapping up both programs.
Oh and Friday night has been Mandalorian night in our house
Wife just watched all of the crown and schittâs creek, I caught some of both.
so anyone else read the IMDB trivia on movies?
On Queenâs Gambit they said for the original production Elliot Page was intended to star. There were 180 or so people that noted it, so it was not new. Wondering if IMDB was able to make the change that fast
Just finished Season One of The Mandalorian. Again, supernatural forces make getting out of sticky situations very easy. Why didnât the small Yoda heal The Mandalorian the same way he healed Apollo Creed?
wife and I starting British Baking Show, holiday edition, 3 seasons
I find it best not to ask too many questions
Yeah. But I could also ask myself why Iâm watching. (Answer: My son is encouraging me.)
Baby Y seems to have some TZ âThe Prime Moverâ limitations.
