What are you watching (bingeing) these days?

Stick - apple TV. Formulaic comedy with has been golfer and protege. It was decent if predictable light comedy series but nothing ground breaking. If you are a fan of Owen Wilson you’ll probably enjoy, if he annoys you in other stuff, it will likely be the same in this one.

Bingeing “MTV Unplugged” on that Rexasuarus site mathman possted in the “Makes Me Smile” thread.. Found Nirvana, whole show, so I’ll enjoy that. Just kept skipping until I found something decent.

just started The Pitt with MrsPZ

Gonna wait a few weeks and binge em.

Just finishing up the “Hard Knocks: Shitty Division Choice” season.

Finished Stanger Things.

No complaints w the arc or that stuff. Just that they bled every scene for 4 minutes when 30 seconds would do.

Rewatching Arrested Development.

daughter is home from college and re-watching as well. god damn it makes me laugh.

Minor spoilers about Stranger Things ending

Summary

I thought the ending was good. But very much in a kid friendly way. Even though the show got fairly scary and intense, it ultimately ended up being geared toward kids a lot more than I think it initially even intended. And the finale was perfect for kids. No one major died. Everything got wrapped up nicely. Happy ending. And then they showed the happily ever after, which kids like and serious movies pretty much never do.

We were in the theater and I knew the run time was over 2 hours. So when the main action wrapped up a little after the 1 hour mark I said to myself, “Oh God, are we in store for an hour of Lord of the Rings style epilogue?!”

The Beast In Me - Netflix - Psychological thriller. 8 Episodes. Well done I thought.

Good Night, and Good Luck, the filmed Broadway show, rather than the 2005 movie, about Edward R. Murrow’s fight against McCarthyism.

Missed the show when it was televised on CNN a year ago so was pleased to see it is now on Netflix. It did not disappoint.

Man, I must have listened to that CD about 200 times.

Last 2 days watched S1 of Pluribus. 9 episodes.

Very interesting concept and a well put together show. Weird and disturbing kind of like Severance (also on AppleTV). Will be looking for future seasons

I enjoyed Pluribus, very different from most takes on the genre.

took me 8-10 episodes to get into it. glad I stuck with it

The Wire is my all time favorite show. But if you don’t like the first season you probably won’t like the rest. Good luck.

I think the reason why I stopped watching it last time is because I know what happens in season one and wasn’t looking forward to that…
