I finished Pluribus s1. I liked the pace. They seem to have left a ton for s2. The what’s-in-the-box was a good way to end. I hope they don’t screw it up.
Loved this show. Definitely watch the whole thing. It gets weird, in a good way.
I also loved Legion. And saying it gets weird and crazy is really underselling it. One of my favorites.
I feel like it’s a bit too much of a slow burn. I’m still enjoying it but I hope S2 moves a little quicker.
Stranger Things - Current Season
Started Dark Winds. It’s really good so far. Has a Navajo sheriff investigating a couple of deaths, and FBI gets involved. It’s set in 1971, so that’s fun. Producers are Robert Redford and George R.R. Martin.
started some brit show Treason.
MI6. usual super secret stuff but then mixed with weird discretion/secrecy granted the leaders and it just seems laughable in a way.
We binged this on New Years Eve. Thought they did a good job with the season and wrap up.
Finished British Baking Show
i really loved it
The Twilight Zone (Original Series). On Prime.
Apparently it is leaving Prime soon.
On S3E1, i don’t think we’ll make it through.
So nice to see full episodes at regular speed.
Saw every episode when the series first came out on CBS in 1959 but have hesitated to rewatch them in case they aren’t as good as I remember them. How did they stand up as adult entertainment?
Many stars like William Shatner appeared in the episodes early in their careers so it might be fun to see them.
I’d say it is one of the best series ever broadcast, timeless as infinity.
Just watched The Obsolete Man. Final words are relevant today.
i used to watch on New Year Marathons. I thought they held up very well
Twilight Zone is hit-or-miss, but most of the episodes hold up very well imo.
There are a few misses.
Season 4 started out as hour-long episodes that were too long for the payout (IMO).
Season 5, I think is more miss than hit, but there are a few good ones in that season.
It is simply a case of drawing from a finite well. As an anthology, it means finding 26 really good stories and then making them work in practice. “The well” was Rod Serling for the most part. Should have been plenty of great ideas that people could submit.
Just watched “Death’s-Head Revisited” and “It’s a Good Life.” First is powerful. Second is downright eerie, watching all the characters being so fearful all the time.
And, black-and-white. Captures the moment so nicely.
I don’t have a Prime subscription but have to think the TZ episodes are available on YouTube. New Year’s resolution can be to watch them again.
I’m watching The Office.
Creed rules!
New Girl
Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery
Well-done.
