What are you watching (bingeing) these days?

The Madness on Netflix’s. Totally unbelievable, but very enjoyable.

The Pitt - only 2 episodes in, but very good.

The Wire (just me, not with wife)

Thanks for the recommendation. I’ve heard that doctors like this show because it is much more realistic than most medical shows

Four out of five recommend it.

I just finished Sunny on Apple TV. It was an interesting blend of sci-fi, comedy, robots and yakuza in Japan. I also finished Fallout on Amazon, which was surprisingly good post-apocalyptic mayhem.

recorded and started watching The Americas, the photography is amazing

All the new nature shows are visually stunning imo. There’s a new Attenborough one about Asia that looks great.

Asia? I see Mammals (available on Prime)

This one is on BBC

We have seen all the 6 episodes of Asia. The series finale will be next Saturday. We watched them on our cable TV channel BBC America. I think this is part of their Planet Earth series. They have several.
We love David Attenborough. His voice is very soothing. He can read a phone book and I’d listen to him.

I’d like to watch M * A * S * H. I remember seeing this randomly when I was younger. Now that I know watching in order is a better way of bingeing…

I’d seen the movie and read the book before the TV series started and I had a bias against the series because it removed most of the darkness of the book and movie. Even the theme song bugged me, because it put a happy flourish on what originally had no happiness to it at all. I’m considering watching it now, as I think I’d have a much better appreciation for it.

That is an interesting and accurate take on the movie and the series.

I watched the movie when it first came out and it was indeed darker than the subsequent tv series. I loved the movie but also enjoyed the tv series even though it was lighter.

Donald Sutherland :canada: and Alan Alda were two of my all-time favourite actors so that influenced my affection for the movie and tv series.

the TV show just couldn’t be as dark.

as for the theme, i felt the dark words and light tune were almost sort of a hidden message. I hummedvit a lot in the day, particularly before actuarial exams

I watched most of this, and it was pretty cringe, but I enjoyed it. Makes me wonder how I would have responded to such shenanigans. Hopefully I wouldn’t have been an asshole!

True. Even had a laugh track, which the show’s producers hated. They compromised by insisting there be no laugh track during the OR sessions.

Chernobyl Mini series on Amazon.

Excellent series.

This is getting pretty good. Hard not to watch three episodes per night. Just got to the first major twist. I’m thinking “This is some bullshit,” but I’m curious where it goes.
