That was a weird one, but interesting. Its worth a watch is season 1 even if they aren’t doing a season 2.
Great, thanks! I often enjoy shows set in Japan - Drops of God being the most recent example.
Watched season 2 of The Law According to Lidia Poet on Netflix. Really enjoyed it. Didn’t realize right away that the main actress also played Diana in Citadel: Diana.
Started watching The Handmaid’s Tale.
Very freaky.
I liked the first two episodes of the sex lives of college girls and season three has recently started up, so I am watching that, along with Silo season two (third ep drops Wednesday).
The first season was very good.
The book was better but I enjoyed the series.
That wasn’t a book, that wasn’t a graphic novel, that was a magazine.
I was referring to Handmaid’s Tale which was based on Margaret Atwood’s novel.
I just finished season two of The Diplomat on Netflix, which was great.
Currently watching Paranoid, a British murder mystery. Also watching Marcella season three and a Korean show The Lies Within. Enjoying all of these!
I think Dune Prophecy is off to a strong start in the first 2 episodes, particularly since the first one had to relay a lot of background info.
My wife prefers the show to the Dune movies, as she finds the show a little easier to follow having never read the book. I did read the book so my experience is different.
The Lincoln Lawyer. Did a rewatch of season 1 and now starting season 2. Never got around to it before. Started Pera Palace, a Turkish show about time traveling back to around the Turkish revolution and how a small interaction may change history. Only 1 episode in.
Too short!
If I was going to rank the Handmaid’s Tale I would put them
Book > Season 1 of Series > season 2 of series = 1980s movie adaptation > season 3 (I can’t recall if I made it all the way through season 3 or not but I know I gave up either part way through season 3 or season 4 so I can’t comment on the later seasons.
Margaret Atwood’s follow-up book to The Handmaid’s Tale was also relatively disappointing.
Colin from Accounts
4 episodes in. enjoyable & funny
I loved Kaos (on Netflix) with Jeff GoldBlum as Zeus. A really far out take on the Greek Gods.
Yeah, Keri Russel is tiny, but she is cute. Don’t make fun of her height.
Also, there were too few episodes in this season.
According to things on the interwebs, this was intended to wrap up the first season, so it was intentionally short. The next season is expected to be full length.
OK, finished this.
Last season or two were very meh. Finale was better than the prior seasons, but is this a comedy?? And, the Blake and Radar goodbye episodes were better.
I’d even go on to say that the show “Jumped The Shark” after Radar left.
I don’t think anyone who didn’t watch it when it was on would understand what TV was at the time.
HULU believes that I should watch The MTM Show. Eh. No thanks.
