I’m surprised they are going to milk it to 2 more seasons, seems like they could wrap it up nicely in one, but I guess not at the pace they are moving.
They can probably take this to the death of the last Dragon.
Have watched several episodes of The Decameron based on the 14th century collection of stories by Giovanni Boccaccio.
It is a black comedy about a group of nobles and their servants who flee Florence to live in a villa in rural Tuscany while the Black Death rages. Has humorous and erotic moments and a good commentary on the master-servant relationship.
Started up Poker Face on Peacock.
A bit predictable, but perhaps I’ve watched too much Columbo and Banacek when i was growing up ( and rewatched some Columbo since, but sadly Banacek has some issues).
Wife and I like Natasha Lyonne, so we will stick with it.
Hate the required commercial breaks. Is $3/mo not enough??
We started that yesterday, entertaining enough that we’ll finish it it but it is quite silly,
Just doing some mindless Googling (tautology?). The last season of The Handmaid’s Tale won’t be released this year but may be out next year. It was delayed due to the writer’s strike.
Ever Carradine, who plays one of the wives in green (the one who took Janine’s baby and is now married to Commander Lawrence) has been upgraded to a regular cast member. She’s very good and if you’re wondering, yes that is a famous surname.
Ep 1 was pretty easy to figure out how she would figure it out. The aftermath was the surprise.
Ep 2 had so many ways to figure it out, but she only used one of them.
Mad Men has returned to Netflix so I watched the first episode to see if the series was as good as I remembered: it was.
As great as they were, I won’t watch all of the episodes again but just catch a few of them.
Watched the first season of From. Really good, a little bit creepy and scary. I think one of the people who made Lost is involved, and it has that vibe with horror accents. Main character is Harold Perrineau who played Michael on Lost. Anyway, looking forward to watching season 2, and season 3 comes out in September. It’s on MGM+, so not sure how I’m going to see it but I’ll find a way.
Season 1 is on Amazon prime
Yeah, that is the consensus opinion. Only 1 real dragon fight, which was entertaining and impactful.
But there were millions of naysayers that slammed GoT season 8 for going too fast.
I still conclude that HotD was the best show on TV/streaming this year. I still think the ASoIaF is the best TV franchise in history, over other greats like Star Trek, Law and Order, Happy Days, All in the Family, and Alf.
One episode to go. Yes, asking suspects a lot of questions without any backup (Columbo always had back-up when it came to the climax) is a real dumb thing to do, and she keeps doing it, while unable to keep to herself most of the time that they’re lying to her. Fucking take notes on who’s lying, not blurt it out in front of them!
Was feeling a bit nostalgic for 90s era TV so watched a few episodes of My So Called Life.
About to finish the Office.
It’s not making me any fonder for the daily grind I’m struggling to make myself show up for every day, that’s for sure.
We’re obsessed with The Traitors. We’re on Season 2 of the US one, but we want to watch all the other ones too.
Just finished rye Apple TV version of Time Bandits. It isn’t quite up to the level of the original movie but I would still highly recommend it.
We enjoyed it.
My Lady Jane on Amazon. It was a fun alternate history with a lot of sexual innuendo and an under class of humans who turn into animals. If they did a 2nd season we’d watch but it was canceled after season 1.
I recently finished several series on Netflix:
Stranger (1st season was better than 2nd)
A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder
Sex Education
Just finished season 2 of Kleo. Had to rewatch season 1 first as I didn’t recall much of it. Just started A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder.
Would probably watch a third season of Kleo if there is one.
