Well they ended sort of with a cliff hanger. So, yeah, I’d watch too.
The Brokenwood Mysteries on Acorn TV. It’s set in New Zealand in the fictional town of Brokenwood.
Thank goodness for subtitles.
PBS showed the first two seasons a couple of months ago and we got hooked on it. Then they quit showing it, so we had to subscribe to Acorn TV.
There are ten seasons so far and they’ve started filming the 11th one. A lot of bingeing to do.
was recommended Kevin Can F@@k Himself on Netflix. Allison McRoberts is a typically exasperated sitcom wife, married to doofus Kevin whose antics not only threaten his physical well-being, his irresponsibility has also drained their bank account of the monies previously intended for a down payment on a nice house. The cool thing about this is that the show is rather two-faced; about 1/3 of it is ‘sitcom’ - bright lights, laugh track, and slapstick gags. The other 2/3 is dark and gritty, showing what happens to the characters when the cameras aren’t rolling. I like the premise. Hope it sticks around for a couple of seasons.
Geek Girl on Netflix. Feels a little like Emily in Paris. Harriet is bullied neurodivergent teen in England. One or two friends. Her best friend, Nat, has wanted to be a model since she was 4. They go to a casting and Harriet gets picked despite no experience and not really wanting to do this. Found it very well done and got through it in a day. Need to catch up on the latest season of Emily soon.
Wynonna Earp on Netflix. Started to watch the movie and realized I need the 4 season first. Three episodes in so far. Fairly intense for comic book type stuff. It stars Melanie Scrofano better known (by me at least) as Mrs. McMurray on Letterkenny. This is a very different role.
Modern Family and the Gentlemen.
love Modern Family, such witty writing
Just about finished with “Killing Eve” with wife.
Finished Season 7 of “MAS*H.”
Started up “Loudermilk.” Very funny.
New season of Loudermilk? If so, I will resume watching.
Bureau of Magical Things
OceanXplorers , TV mini series on Disney plus, hosted by James Cameron
No, old ones. Never watched before
Started S4 of Only Murders
Have they released the entire season?
The Terror (season 1 - 10 episodes) - currently on Netflix though I think it was originally a few years ago on AMC. Fictionalized account of the failed lost north west passage expedition. This was pretty good and kept our attention enough to binge in 3 or 4 days but the final episode was weird as all get out IMO.
I guess there is a whole series of these with different settings and casts, not sure if we’ll seek those out.
Also as they come out Agatha All Along (disney) - picks up Agatha Harkness story after the events of Wanda Vision and Dr. Strange 2. enjoying this quite a bit and season 2 of Rings of Power (Amazon), i like the direction they have taken this. and finally The Penguin (max) - first episode was good, will continue.
great question. i didn’t get that far. and I hate having to wait. argh.
5 are out. they drop #6 on tuesday. then every tuesday i guess. double argh.
Thanks for the tip-off. Watched the first two episodes last night; it seems better than earlier seasons.
I love the cameos from well-known actors and actresses who are not afraid to be self-deprecating.
I assume this is a common prop used in tv shows, like Heisler beer?
Just finished Nobody Wants This, Kristen Bell’s new show. Really enjoyed it. One day binge.
ive been watching Schitts Creek while riding the exercise bike. I am through S2E12 (so one more in S2).
i find it just ok. ok enough to keep watching, sure. but i wonder what I am missing bc others have said it is great
