What are you watching (bingeing) these days?

The author of the series is a native to my city and will be doing some appearances soon, and is rumored by the teachers at his school to be doing a visit there. My son is very excited, he’s a huge goosebumps fan.

Cool. I thought the Goosebumps series was an excellent children’s show and confess to watching many episodes with my kids when they were young. I am sure my daughter would have been thrilled to meet the author.

Started on A Gentleman In Moscow and to make it more confusing, The Gentlemen. Both are good, but in very different ways.

Wow, that just caused a vivid flashback, protagonist wishing she were the best bball player on her team has her wish corrupted when all her team becomes worse than her

Recently finished Tokyo Vice S2, the story is really well done, though the ending of this season felt anticlimactic.

Shogun has been entertaining. Most recent episodes have been really stellar.

Just started Fallout. Much better than I was expecting. Never played the games, so I’m going in blind. Still enjoyable.

Arrested Development - somehow never watched this in its original or reruns. We’re almost done w S3 which was the original Fox run from early 2000s will see how the Netflix S4-5 reboot hold up from the early 2010s.

So have you been oblivious to all the references all these years?

I’m sure I’ve missed quite a few over the years.

It’s one television series, how long could it take to binge, 10 months?

One episode left for Fallout

Never played the games. It’s pretty fun. More comedy than I was expecting. Lots of fun cameos.

Watched “Steve Martin in 2 parts” on Apple. Good, but not much I didn’t already know. Didn’t know he was an art hound.
It also reminded me to rewatch a few of his movies. “L.A. Story,” for one. Haven’t watched “Roxanne” for a while.

The Pacific

HBO series on the pacific theater (marines) WWII

I enjoyed this one as its deep and dark. They really dont sugarcoat things.

Finished “Welcome to Chippendales.” Had no idea about the story, so quite surprised.

Renegade Nell (Disney+) - this was good fun. A bit of action, a little humor, some fantasy elements, set in 1700 England in the time of Queen Anne and the Jacobites.

We watched this too. Kids enjoyed it. It was a lot of fun

oops wrong thread

The Gentlemen on Netflix. Guy Ritchie mini-series. It’s kind of like the movie Snatch extended in some ways with the groups of bad acting people (note - all are up to little good). now we are into the part where the double-crossers are double-crossing someone new and I am not sure where it will land.

it is enjoyable enough for me
