Politico is reporting that the Trump campaign was hacked, potentially by Iran, and that they, Politico, have received a number of documents from the hack.

Trump is doubling down on the helicopter ride, but saying it took place in NJ (where Holden said he took the ride) not CA. So it seems that it really was Holden, and also the flight was before Harris become DA let alone AG or Senator so the idea that Holden would have spent the flight bashing her is a complete fabrication.
More troubling about the idea that someone (Iran) hacked into a campaign’s servers: it shows that foreign governments really do want to influence the outcome of elections here and the only question is what their motivation against any individual candidate. With Iran, it’s pretty clear because Trump is openly hostile to the country which further aggravates tensions that date back to when we overthrew their government and put the Shah back in power.
If you want proof of other countries influencing elections here, go look at all the groups that ran against Cori Bush in Missouri. While she was a terrible representative and shouldn’t have held office, pro-Isrseli groups turned out in force to campaign against her. They did that so that they could have a candidate who is much more sympathetic to Israel and Israel’s interests, and who would vote to protect Israel and give aid to Israel when necessary.
But since it’s Israel, it’s Ok if (when) their government take steps to influence elections here. It’s just bad if the “bad” countries do it.

This is the world we live in now. The US would definitely do this too IMO.
Social media propaganda and boosting is also part of the game now for many major and minor powers.

We absolutely have. For decades. It’s part of why among other places, Latin America has issues today.
But, that’s different, because whatever interference we were doing at the time suited our interests even if it came at great humanitarian expense to people living there.

There’s an important distinction you missed. The pro-Israel groups don’t hide their activities. They are basically out in the open about it. I’m fine with that. WE do that in other countries all the time.
I wonder if it’s a reading problem or a vision problem. He’s old; his eyes may not be what they once were.
It’s kind of why Iran dislikes the U.S. so much.

Doesn’t Harris need a big edge in the Electoral College numbers to avoid Trump alleging cheating? Nothing short of a trouncing will prevent a Trump challenge. Sadly it looks to be close unless something major happens before Election Day.
