Kelly is a good pick but you risk losing a senate seat, Cooper from NC seems to check a lot of boxes for balancing the ticket and putting swing state NC very much in play.
Whitmer is but I believe she said she’s not interested this year, thought that might have been before Joe dropped out. Still not sure the Dems want to run an all female ticket. Is the country ready for that?

I am not sure the country is ready for a female president, but I was wrong with Obama, didn’t believe a black man could win either
Although not a battleground state, this is part of the reason why I think Beshear might be an attractive running mate. He has also proven he can win in a red state.
Governors, are a poor choice for running mate. If the Ds win, then comes the governing part. KH will need a lot of support there with how to work with Congress. A liaison. Like Obama, she has not earned a lot of chits in Congress. Too short a tenure. She would be better served with a congressperson.
I like Dick Durban. I wager he has a pocketful of favors. Gonna need them to get anything at all passed.
I think picking any really old running mate would be a big mistake.

Makes sense. I assume this is to avoid someone becoming President via the back-door (VP to President due to “resignation” of sitting President) for the 3rd time+
It’s all a big mistake.
Any POTUS will obviously have an America First agenda so, as a Canadian, I look to see which candidate might look most kindly on Canadian interests while protecting US interests.
The preference between a Trump and Harris presidency is a no-brainer for me. Trump will impose tariffs on imports from Canada even though it would contravene the trade deal with the US and hurts Americans. A Trump presidency would also embolden Canadian Trumpists.
Harris can’t be as bad. And surely her years as a high school student in Montreal have created some connection with Canada (although that didn’t work in Ted Cruz’ case!).

Up until yesterday we had Crazy and Older vs Old and Crazier. Trump has consolidated that into hopefully what is see as both too old and too crazy.
Now it’s time for the Democrats to go on attack and get their hands dirty. There remains plenty of time for enough citizens to snap out of their Trump trance. Let Trump keep talking/posting and then clobber him.
