Turkey is best when oven roasted and served with mashed potatos, gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and veggies. No need for breading and deep frying!!!
One doesnāt typically bread the turkey a la fried chicken before deep frying. Injecting with cajun seasoning is a good step.
Because chicken is cheaper and has a size that lends itself to individual portions?
Turkey as a cold-cut lunch meat is pretty decent. Chicken is extremely disappointing.
Is anyone really checking up on those turkeyās at Disneyland and Disney World? Cause I have seen many and even chowed down myself on a delicious turkey leg when I visited Disneyland.
Cross-postable to the current NHL season thread, but also applicable to any of them here.
The St. Louis Blues have the absolute worst goal song in the NHL. Period. Itās so bad, it might be the 2nd worst goal song in the league. Itās the kind of lazy shit people I went to school with would have come up with thinking they wrote something brilliant.
The blues have the urge goal song?
Itās like The Beach Boys crossed with The Hey Song crossed with a little bit of heavy metal guitar for good(?) measure.
Just heard it on teh utoobz.
Reminds me of this:
That is undefinably better, but thatās because the Blues song is 0 good and so anything thatās better is ā¦ you know.
Didnāt you go to school with Saul Goodman?
Uhā¦ make up your mind! Is it the āabsolute worst. Period.ā? Or is it maybe the second worst?
Would have come up with, or actually came up with?
I think he was a few years ahead of me, but Iām sure that place where I went to school would have come up with something great, albeit more like something composed while drunk. I was thinking of where I went prior to that.
One of the cheers frequently used late in a game, when we were down with zero chance to win - and Iām talking basketball and weāre down 35 points with about 2 minutes left - was
Weāll catch up! Weāll catch up!
Weāll catch up! Weāll catch up!
That was the cheerleading sponsorās idea, because ā¦ we want the guys to stay positive and motivated, instead of realizing theyāre going to lose. Sorry, Kendra, Iām pretty sure they knew they were going to lose when they were down 44-11 at the half.
Thatās the kind of creativity my high school put forth.
Weāll catch up! Weāll catch up!
Weāll catch up! Weāll catch up!That was the cheerleading sponsorās idea, because
Heinz?
These are the type of games where I like to here that cheer:
I believe that we will win.
I believe that we will win.

Charts like this to me just points out the fallibility in many of these models, for example it was likely way overconfident.
Every chart that purports to show the win probability of any football team at any point during a game is complete, total bullshit.
Even the people who put these charts out know itās total bullshit, but they still put it out because someone did teh analytics and it produced a model that gave results, and since the model says that it has to be true.
The motivation behind all of the crap like this chart is to increase engagement and betting. Does it increase engagement and betting, then its a win, accuracy be damned. The constant flow of crap around sports drives me away, but I feel I am the exception rather than the rule.
The fact that I rarely watch live sports āliveā means I avoid this crap all together. I just see it when people post it and I see it way after the end of the game. Even when I watch my team I start late enough to be able to skip all that crap leading up to the kickoff, commercials and halftime hoping to catch up at the end just in case the game goes to overtime and my recording doesnāt catch the very end. But I pad the maximum at the end they allow for my teamās games. I do usually check in at the very beginning to see if a prior game is going over and which channel to set up a temp recording to get the beginning of the game.
And I really doubt the model does anything more than give the probability of winning when the leading by this much with this amount of time left. And when you are leading by 4 points or more with less than 90 seconds left, I wouldnāt be surprised to see 98.3% of those teams winning. I doubt it even takes into account the actual score or when the most recent score was made. So yeah, pretty crappy model overall.
