I got a random FB post about Neko and her backstory very recently. ![]()
Monday is a holiday. I’d like to say this is the first time I’ve had a surprise holiday creep up on me.
Not for me.
Booooooooo!
Booo…urns
Had no idea this was the case.
If I am wearing something static-filled and get close to an LED light, the static will spark the LED. Pretty cool in the dark.
Wife was dusting some overhead LEDs and they sparked due to the duster. Yeah, it’s pretty dry here. Gonna be 80F.
TIL that last year Nunavut updated their license plates in a rather significant way.
Interesting, because I wasn’t even aware they were ever rectangular.
I suspect that when they finally got their own license plates (as opposed to contracting with NWT), budget concerns and not wanting to fight with Yellowknife pushed them to use the standard North American shape.
If that guess is correct…presumably the passage of time has facilitated making a change.
“Some, I assume, are good polar bears…”
Bears wander around the community that my son works at in Alaska, he’s sent pictures of them right outside the door.
I believe they have alarms and red flashing lights they set off to try and scare them away. And I think they kind of notify people ‘there’s a bear wandering around today’ though I don’t know if that’s done formally.
I don’t imagine they lock the doors there either lol. They don’t even turn the vehicles off in the winter.
They arent sending their best bears
Sprite is caffeine free, really thought it had as much as coke.
growing up I thought only dark sodas had caffeine.
then I found out Mountain Dew might bevthevhighest and Orange soda did too.
Not today, but a few years ago I learned that back in the day, 7-Up had lithium in it. Yes, that kind of lithium. Which makes sense, if you’ve had 2-3 Cokes, by the evening you might need something to take the edge off.
The birth rate for 37 year old women in Canada has tripled since 1977.
Interesting article on age-related fertility rates by Canadian actuary Fred Vettese in today’s Globe and Mail. US trend may be similar?
