The downside is that I cannot see that image from my work PC.
I’m sure it’s great.

You are using your work PC next to a pool?

I’d get yelled at:

  • by corporate IT if I was looking at GoA on my work PC; and
  • by my boss and grandboss for working on a weekend so far away from our busy season.

That’d be nice. I might do that this summer.
I just cannot see any images at this site from my work PC.

You guys use your work computers for this place? I’m worried about getting yelled at, so I only use my cell now.

I do. Look, I’ve got 20+ years of experience, and consistently get strong reviews. If you want to fire me for screwing off on an actuarial forum from time to time, be my guest.

Yeah but I’m poised and polished IRL and a hot mess on here, I have a lot to lose!

Maybe doing your thing here is what you need to relieve some stress so that you can be polished the rest of the time!

I’ll use my work computer, but these days thats usually what i would consider outside normal work hours. Our policy does not restrict personal use, just suggests it should not interfere with work.

Similar to mathman, can’t imagine this is high on the list of things they care about. If they want to fire me, maybe they add it to the list of reasons but it won’t be THE reason.

I was being facetious, I would never get fired over it, but I also don’t want my work connecting me to it, either, so I play it safe.

I was standing too close to the back of the car when I closed the hatch: it caught my forehead and knocked my glasses off.

  1. I was removing a cup of water from the microwave when for some reason, it bumped the door and flipped upside down.
  2. I overfilled the reservoir in the coffee maker and stepped into a puddle of coffee.

Apart from that, the day has been uneventtul.

Forgot to put the filter basket back in my portafilter after pulling it from the dishwasher. My espresso exploded all everywhere.

In need of coffee, I filled the electric kettle then put it on the stove instead of its base. At least the replacement was 25% off b/c of pre-black Friday sales.

Oh wow. I nearly had to rescue an elderly neighbor who did that. She got the pot off the stove, but fire alarm went off and lots of smoke in the house. She was still mobile, but i had to convince her to go outside while smoke cleared.

my wife easts cottage cheese with pineapple mixed in. usually buys the pineapple in those little cups, the “tidbits.”

when she asks me to get those at the grocery store, or in any other reference to them, I call them “tiddies.”

My husband also eats it this way, or with apple sauce mixed in. It’s weird.
