Nah, I let it brew for 48 hours then mix in water. So I need to start one going before the other one is finished. So two in rotation with a third as a backup might be good.
If I time it perfectly when Iâm down to two servings left (Day 0), I have one that day and I pour the other into a tumbler for tomorrow. (Day 1) Then I can wash the pitcher and get another batch going. Itâll be ready on Day 2.
But what if Iâm in a hurry on Day 0? Or prefer to run it through the dishwasher instead of hand washing? Or there arenât two clean tumblers? (I just bought some more, so this is less likely to be a problem going forward.)
Thereâs just no margin for error. Itâs far easier to just have two.

Also Iâm not always super precise with my pours. Sometimes I end up with half a serving left. If the next batch is ready to go thatâs helpful.
Assortment of automotive trim clips. The snow tore a mud flap off my car. It didnât damage it, just broke two clips - maybe designed this way. Tried getting some at the parts store but they didnât have the right size. Rather than scouring all over town, just popped on a huge assortment on Amazon for $12. Boom, mud flap re-installed with minimal swearing.

Motion sensor light for a cupboard, a pair of jeans and some small batteries for a window sensor.
If you mean the little button batteries, I 100% buy these on Amazon now. Last time I needed one, I went to not one, not two, but three local stores. Because all three websites said it was in stock, only for me to drive there and no, not in stock.
The upside was that one of them had a Weber Genesis on sale, which is rare. Plus I had a coupon for 10% off I think, anywho, wound up getting an $1,100 grill for $725-ish plus tax, and then I got like $60 Ace bucks back on the buy.

Some lightbulbs. But my family doesnât like âdaylightâ (bright, 4000K) in the kitchen. In the morning, i like the new bulbs, but i have to agree that in the evening itâs the wrong lighting for the space. So, actually, my last purchase was dimmers, for the kitchen lights. Now that Iâve upgraded from fluorescent to LED, i can put a dimmer in the light switch.
Iâve also ordered some âwarmâ lightbulbs (2700K) to replace the âdaylightâ bulbs, but i ordered those from Walmart. (Really, some affiliate who sells on Walmartâs website.) Hopefully, they arrive soon.
Nope, not the button, it was these: CR2 Panasonic Industrial 3 Volt Lithium Batteries. They look like regular batteries, only they are about 3/4" long.

I might have mentioned it before, I really like the Philips bulbs with the âwarm glowâ effect. You can get them in daylight or soft white, and the more you dim them, the warmer the light gets. I find them to be a little picky about what kind of dimmer switch you use, but Iâve had similar issues with other LED bulbs so who knows. I always buy dimmers that SAY they are LED compatible, but often get flicker.
Iâve been using these exclusively for about⌠maybe six years now. Only one bulb has failed. Technically two, but one failure was me whacking a bulb with my ladder in the garage, canât really blame Philips for that one.
I tried them in my bedroom and they flickered. So i gave up on them, because i like the form-factor of the dimmers i use, and there arenât a lot of choices in that form-factor.
These dimmers work with many (not all) âdimmableâ LED bulbs. I check which dimmers the bulbs say they are compatible with.
I recently bought some A19 size bulbs with color selection switch on the bulb itself. Probably not an easy reach or the right form factor for a kitchen install, but there are relatively inexpensive color selection bulbs out there, some even smart-device enabled.
I donât have experience with LEDs and dimmers. The only dimmer switch in the current house is for the fan motor.
I get these kind of bulbs from Costco.
Iâm a 2700k person, but what really drives me nuts is when i see someone mix and match colors in the same room. I might accept a special use light for a puzzle or hobby room.
Well, i just replaced all the overhead lights in the kitchen with 3000 Kelvin. But i took one of the bright 4000 K bulbs and put it in the fixture over the sink, in front of the window. I see it as fake sunlight from the area of the window. I actually did the same in our ensuite bathroom. The main light is warm, but the light over the tub is daylight. I wanted the tub to feel like being at the beach. I also wanted the light to have enough blue on it that i can sort the navy socks from the black socks by that light. But i only turn on that switch when i want the daylight effect. Usually, i just use the overhead âwarmâ light. It probably wouldnât work for everyone.
I like yellower lights in the evening, and bluer lights in the morning. Sadly, only my basement lights are easy to adjust the color of. So i guess i sometime do like having different colors in different fixtures, so i can turn on the ones that match my mood.
What annoys me is a row of lights with one that doesnât match. Or thereâs a house near me that has a lot of exterior lighting. And itâs two different colors, with no reason. Just weird looking.
I would also be bothered by that.
One of my neighbors has the standard 3-car garage setup: one door thatâs two cars wide and one door thatâs one car wide.
The two-car garage door is white and the one-car garage door is the same blue color as the house.
Either one by itself is perfectly fine. Side by side they look positively absurd.

The adjustment switch on one of the 5 vanity lights is broken, so itâs a different hue than the rest. Iâm torn between them not matching and throwing away a functional bulb.
Iâd fix that. Somehow.
My under-cabinet lights theoretically have a choice of color. But in practice, only the middle choice looks good. The warm and cool choices have such a low CRI that they look awful. The electrician said, âeveryone seems to pick the middle colorâ, and i thought, âyeah, no shit.â
