Well, my 9yo son took a razor in the shower and tried to shave a reverse Mohawk down the center of his head. Fortunately, very little damage done. For a smart kid, he makes some very questionable choices.
Lol! Did you get the clippers and help him finish the job?
Lol. Who the hell decided Romeo and Juliet would be a good idea for blundering tweens? It’s long, boring, dense, and confusing as hell. Not to mention romanticizes suicide for kids who do not need help with that.
Is this the same kid that tore down the pipe in the basement?
Actually no. Guess great choices run in our family.
Hah, no, but I did tell him that had he been successful in this, we would have had to buzz cut his hair at a minimum. Also when I asked him what he hoped would happen, he clearly hadn’t thought it through to that part. Kids!
I’m sorry but this made me lol… I don’t know what runs through Mini Me’s mind sometimes.
Kidz gonna kid.
How I met Your Mother, the characters used to play a game called Drunk or Kid
That was hilarious!
Btw, if he has any interest at all in the story, I recommend “Romeo and/or Juliet” the choose your own adventure.
update and cross post to sad thought - after 3 upsetting days, Boo Boo is not reacting well to being rehomed at my son’s. they think they need to return him and allow him to be rescued to a home where people are always present.
I was taking my grandson home from the park and “Castle Walls” by Styx started playing. He asked me if I like vampire music. Hadn’t the song that way before.
Took the family out to dinner and my daughter opened the car door into grandson’s head. SIL commented that it isn’t Thanksgiving until someone has a head injury. Happy Thanksgiving!
Haircuts are really tough for my 9yo. His neurodivergence makes him extremely sensitive to some sensations, and the tickling hairs on the back of his neck from a haircut are one of the worst for him. Also his Tourette’s makes it difficult for him to sit still, and finding a barber with patience and understanding is a challenge. He did great today, and I think we found a great barber to go back to. The guy was super understanding and sweet, and treated him like a little adult. He even asked if he wanted a beard shave (it’s an old timey men’s barbershop where a beard trim is included with a cut), which of course was a hit with my son.
I bet he didn’t even blink when you asked for the reverse mohawk.
My son is at his first day of work in Alaska. His roommate is at work.
I just got off the phone with some clients, my spouse is mia. Call her, she’s at my son’s place.
My son’s roommates dog.jumped on the stove, turned on the stove and set a plastic container on fire.
So now mom, roommates parents, police, fire, landlord and their son, and the upstairs tenants are all there waiting for the smoke to clear.
What a show.
Added, the sob dog probably did it deliberately.
My 9yo had a doctor’s appointment today and missed receiving his spelling words, so his teacher emailed them to me. He got all but subterranean correct on the first try, and that one he spelled subterranian. He’s a good speller!
