Wouldn’t February be the shortest month?

I have major deliverables due at the end of February. It certainly seems like a too-short month.

You’d think year end work would be at the end of the year

Faaar from it. Look at all those letters.

I’m trying to make “Fe” happen.

I kinda liked Chinese where they just numbered the months, and days of the week too.

Ironruary?

That’s ironic

Bump, for 538’s geo-graphing thing.

Liked this part, cuz zinzinnati:

standard time was introduced in the late 19th century by railroad companies who wanted to standardize their timetables. Not everyone was happy about it. The city of Cincinnati, for example, initially continued to set its clocks to “Cincinnati time,” which was twenty-two minutes different from standard time. “Their argument was, ‘Noon is when the sun is overhead, not when the Pennsylvania Railroad says it’s noon,’” O’Malley said.

They probably should blame the British. Interestingly, the sun being overhead is not consistent over the course of the year (varying by 16 minutes before and after the hour), hence Greenwich Mean Time).

Wikipedia -
Because of Earth’s uneven angular velocity in its elliptical orbit and its axial tilt, noon (12:00:00) GMT is rarely the exact moment the Sun crosses the Greenwich Meridian and reaches its highest point in the sky there. This event may occur up to 16 minutes before or after noon GMT, a discrepancy described by the equation of time. Noon GMT is the annual average (the arithmetic mean) moment of this event, which accounts for the word “mean” in “Greenwich Mean Time”.

Started coffee maker, poured creamer into my mug, pissed when I grabbed the pot that it wasn’t full enough to sneak a cup.

I hate going on daylight saving time.

This may possibly be the last time we change the clocks if that is any consolation.

My congresscritter sent a request for my opinion on staying in DST so it appears in the US the House may take up the Senate’s already passed legislation from last year.

I’ve read this post 5 times and I’m still not sure if that is a typo or not. Either way I hope the cleanup went smoothly

The new congress means both houses would need to pass it, and some senators were caught off guard with it going through unanimous consent last year.

Bravo!

My province, British Columbia, passed legislation 4 years ago to go on year-round DST. However the legislation only becomes effective when Washington, Oregon and California do it. Problematic for us to be in different time zone than US West Coast. We don’t care what happens back East.

@Echo: Daddy may need house training. I hope you can teach him!!! Who’s a gud gurl??? Are you a gud gurl??? U sure are!!!
