But I don’t especially care how early it is. Which is why I said it’s asking the wrong questions.

October is also the longest month of the year!

How is October longer than any other month with 31 days?

Just waiting for the day my kids are old enough that turning back the clocks means I get an extra hour of sleep and not that I’m waking up an hour earlier.

End clock changes forever.

October was the longest month of the year in some countries, eg The UK, as they changed their clocks October 30.

True. And it used to be the longest month of the year in the US. But most of us, including @twig93 are in the US and it is the exact same length as every other month with 31 days in the US.

Except for March?

Aren’t leap seconds usually added in December? That would give it the edge.

lol you got me there

I will agree that March is the shortest month with 31 days.

Cue the “I don’t like it dark in the morning / light longer in the afternoon” folks in 3, 2, 1…

Also, cue the “Just stop changing the time!” folks… NOW.

I thought May was the shortest month . . . followed by June and July.

March and April being next in line

According to the wicked pediatrician, they are added on jun 30 (11x) or dec 31 (16x)

In English speaking countries, sure.

Oh that’s true… October used to be the longest but no longer is. :woman_facepalming:
