Anecdote: A friend’s family got COVID about a month ago, with the exception of one kid. That kid now has influenza A and is way sicker than the family members when they had COVID. The mom now also has influenza A but it’s been really mild for her, but she got the flu shot and her kid didn’t.
Brother-in-law tested positive today. Mother-in-law home from hospital with oxygen. Sis-in-law still feeling like she was hit by a bus. Boys (21 and 15) not sick so far.
If I got mildly sick with COVID again, I’m not sure I would even bother testing myself. Whether it’s COVID or something else, the procedure is the same: lay low and don’t spread it until you recover.
um, you hide in your apartment and rarely leave. why would you be more likely to get it than joe biden who is a public figure where it’s shocking that he didn’t get it for this long? covid don’t care if you’re powerful in choosing to infect you.
what matters here is that as the most powerful man (which is debatable, he doesn’t seem all that powerful these days), he gets treated fast. that Paxlovid stuff will wipe it out immediately. did for my uncle. i think it works great for most people.
maybe you’ll get it, but the chances you do seem a lot lower than joe biden who i assume was working directly with people all the time and not isolating like you do.
you walk your cats? isn’t that a dog thing? if you get it, hopefully a minor enough case and you or your wife can still take care of your cats.
