I should probably restock some home kits now while I don’t currently need one. I only have 1 left.
My husband had endless sinus problems before covid. They cleared up after he got a root canal – the tooth turned out to be the root of the problem, so to speak.
this is something i have wondered about. for me a chicken/egg thing. when I have really bad sinus pain, there is one or two teeth that ache.
i don’t get it as often as i have done allergy stuff to prevent the allergies that led to the filled sinuses. but someday those teeth will get the root canal and maybe then I’ll know!
I’m 100% sure that was COVID.
then why would you continually test negative?
The tests aren’t 100% accurate.
yeah, cause I know someone right now who has had the worst congestion of their life for 9 days and counting and supposedly it’s not covid according to several tests, but it sounds like covid!
It could be a large number of respiratory viruses, really. I know covid is the most discussed but people are socializing again.
User error.
nope, one of the negative tests was at a medical facility, not over the counter.
Those very rarely cause fever in healthy adults.
In March 2020, I got a terrible illness. Covid hadn’t been found in my state yet, but if I had gotten sick a year later with the same symptoms, I would have been “100% positive” it was covid. All the symptoms.
It was influenza B.
I mean there’s still the flu, that’s around. That causes fever and I think lots of people get the flu…
I’m not saying COVID is the flu, it’s bad. But you can still get the flu, too. So if you test negative it could be the flu or a related virus.
So, when you said, large number of respiratory viruses, you meant one virus, flu.
It may have been flu, but that doesn’t usually start as a throat tickle, omicron does.
Worst congestion of my friends life sounds like omicron but yet repeatedly tested negative. If tests can repeatedly be false negative id say omicron but idk
Had a fever too that eventually went away
Never had a fever, but had chills/sweats
I’ve gotten many, many colds in my life that started with a throat tickle and then lead to a combination of nose stuffyness, coughs, chest congestion, body aches, fatigue (and sometimes the throat tickle leads to nothing a day or 2 later). Lets not pretend that Omicron is unique in that way.
I’ve only gotten body ache as an adult from flu and COVID.
Naw, there’s other stuff going around and I think Covid survivors are at particular risk.
I tested positive for two different respiratory infections last month, neither of which was influenza A or B.
Wow…I’m still a member…even after all the exposure I’ve had.
The COVID study that I’m a part of added another round of testing.
My N protein is still zero implying that I haven’t been infected with the virus.
My S protein is still off the charts (> 2500) which it also was when I had it tested back in Feb.
Before I got the booster my S protein count was around 1000. (I got the booster in November of 2021.)
