Everyone is going to get COVID eventually, with or without a vaccine.
Yeah, but some will get it twice a year, and others will get it every five years.
the most recent stats i found of an estimated percent of american adults who have had covid was from the end of feburary and it was 60%. itâs 4 months later, so we at 75% yet? i want to know how special my covid virgin status is.
at the end of february for kids it was 75%!
Two of my virgin family members just succumbed. Mr aj was with them Saturday, when they probably got it, but so far testing negative.
i donât have any virgin family members left of my immediate family (father, mother, sister). all uncles had it too and their wives. i might have some cousins left who havenât. not sure.
These were actually in laws. SisIL and MomIL. Hubbyâs family, so he was there but I begged off.
All fully vaxed and boosted at least once.
Everyone in my household has had Covid. My parents have not. (I donât know howâthey werenât super careful.)
Out of 4 siblings, 1 had it twice (antivaxxer), 1 never tested positive (just didnât bother testing) but Iâm sure she had it, 1 has not had it and 1 I donât know. As far as I know, none of their spouses had it. (The one who had it twiceâher hubby drives a truck and probably didnât come home when she was sick.)
My father and my brother both think they caught COVID a while back, but they both tested negative at the time so itâs unclear. I think the rest of my extended family and my wifeâs extended family are all COVID virgins.
i know someone right now who has what sounds like covid, but yet, all tests are negative.
is it possible to have covid, but continually test negative?
antigen tests negative and a rapid test at a walk-in place also negative. for some reason the walk-in place did a rapid test, but not a pcr test.
It seems common to test negative until youâre a good few days in.
they tested negative on an antigen test after a few days in.
Covid symptoms are similar to other coronaviruses, so your acquaintance might have some other bug.
yeah, thatâs what it seems like. another bug thatâs awful like covid, but somehow not covid.
if not covid, it sounds like other viruses are just as bad.
they were playing like a virgin at the supermarket just now. made me think of this thread.
My SO and I are the only ones in either of our immediate families that have had covid. I figured my family would all get out after they traveled together a couple of weeks ago, but they seemed to have avoided it.
Sunday night - felt a sore throat coming on
Monday - work up not feeling great, throat still sore. throughout the day started getting a bad cough, all over soreness, fatigue, chills/sweats
Tuesday - hardly slept Monday night since couldnât lay down, coughing crap up, same fatigue/soreness, chills/sweats
Wednesday - slept not the best, but better, cough got better, fatigue/soreness went away throughout the day, felt much better by Weds night
Today - slept great, only lingering symptom is slight cough, no aches/fatigue
I was 100% sure it was Covid, but I tested negative on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
I hate the pandemic
yeah, that sounds like covid. itâs weird that people are getting other viruses in july when warm months normally arenât the season for them. seems covid has made other viruses wacky.
Iâve got an annoying sinus infection now, but no other symptoms and tested negative on that at home test the feds mailed out.
