So uh, do you guys think Putin will invade Ukraine or what

He died from natural causes:

However, according to an RT Russian service source, the opposition figure had a blood clot.

Subject a person to harsh conditions and they die, naturally.

That’s kinda the objective. Get the body overtaxed so that it gradually deteriotes because it can’t repair it self fast enough.

Putin: MEMA (Make Europe Medieval Again).

Do we not have a thread specific to Mike Johnson? Just the Gaetz-McCarthy one?

I guess nobody thought Johnson would survive long enough to warrant a thread.

Anyway, Johnson’s campaign accepted $37k in donations from a company owned by Russian nationals. They gave it back after “being made aware of the situation” that this was illegal and they’d be in trouble. I don’t see any indication that it would have been given back otherwise.

Johnson is currently refusing a vote on a widely-supported bipartisan bill to give aid that would help Ukraine against Russia.

Ukraine is getting really good at using these naval drones to take out Russian ships.

The US should be wary what Iran and China are learning from that…

We refer to it in the house as “promoting a Russian ship to submarine.”

The U.S. should be making sure it knows how to defend against that.

Criminal case against Kasparov for terrorism now pending.

He’s been outspoken against Putin for so long, I’m surprised there hasn’t been an assassination attempt yet.

I hear he’s super clumsy so he might just fall out a window.

None that you’ve heard of. I’m sure Putin has tried many times, but Kasparov always seems to be one step ahead.

My money is on Kasparov staying a few moves ahead of Putin.

Putin’s probably consulting with Deep Blue on how to beat him.

It’s like he’s playing some kind of chess.

Maybe they’re hunting each other, and whoever gets there first gets to say “Check. Mate.”

As you would expect, military powers have paid a lot of attention to how drones are changing the modern battlefield

Here’s a recent article about one item the US is working on as a result:
https://news.usni.org/2024/03/11/pentagon-will-spend-1b-on-first-round-of-replicator-drones

I imagine there are plenty of other initiatives that aren’t public

At this rate I expect to have Dune tracker-seekers inside of a decade. Micro-drones the size of a hummingbird that deliver death individually. Or explode catastrophically inside of a room, etc. (I realize the latter pretty much exists already.)

Also nanodrones that make you really ticklish and makes it hard to keep a straight face when you are trying to give a motivational speech to your subordinates.
