Good news for the 49eres in that game is pressuring the QB important isn’t as important against Chicago as other teams. Williams just isn’t that good yet anyway..
Bears may rest some players a bit since they have clinched their division? 49ers are playing for more.
Bears still can get the #1 seed.
If the Bears win out and if the Hawks lose to either Panthers, then the Bears have the #1 seed.
This is regardless of what the Rams do.
So, I don’t think they will be resting anyone.
That #1 seed is even more important with that being the only team that gets a bye.
I don’t dispute that the Bears do not have something to play for but the 49ers could be a WC versus the number 1 seed. That is more to play for.
Seahawks defence has been awesome today. Darnold not so much.

49ers were playing 2 reserve DBs and only have 1 decent pass rusher. Made Williams look good.
This year they have to win in shootouts against good teams. I honestly consider giving up a field goal a win in big games. Which hurts my soul.
49ers definitely dodged a bullet with the clock mismanagement by Johnson.
They let around 20 seconds run off the clock after the 1st down at the SF 31 when they still had 3 timeouts left.

Thank you Falcons. If Hawks lose to SF, they will be the #5 seed and play the NFC South winner.
The 5 seed means a trip east then a match up in SF that would be rested and have a chance for healthier Williams and CMC. The 6 seed could get Bears then Eagles.
Best scenario is they make SF use CMC a lot, punish him and win. Make them go east and have to risk injury or fatigue. That bye is valuable. Darnold has to get over hump this year.

Of course, the better scenario is to beat SF and be the #1 seed! My point was that the Falcons’ win assures us no worse than playing the NFC South winner.
