It is not like Buckner. Buckner comes up with ball, game goes into extra innings. Lynch was for the win or loss and it was straightforward. One bad decision/execution.
As a Sox fan, Buckner was 4th in line. McNamara pulled Clemens before 8th. He left Schiraldi in for 10th after he had already blown game once and there was 2 run lead. He then put in Stanley with guys on. Stanley threw ball to backstop causing the tie. Then Buckner blew it but had it not been for McNamara, Schiraldi and Stanley doing things just as bad or worse directly prior, not an issue.
Yeah. 49ers lost in OT to the Chiefs after having 3 starters go out of the game and Kittle played hurt from 4min to go in the 4th quarter. Trent Williams replacement blew a blocking assignment and let Chris Jones through clean on what should have been a winning TD. That doesn’t even count losing Purdy AND his backup against the Eagles the previous playoffs.
Well, that was fast.
For SoCal Area – networks, times subject to change.
Week 1, vs SF, Fox: Maybe. Rams on CBS at the same time, CBS has DH. Fox will probably show a morning game here instead of competing.
Week 2, at PIT, Fox: maybe. Competition includes NYG-DAL, CHI-DET.
Week 3, v NO, CBS: No. LAC on CBS at the same time.
Week 4, on TNF: YES
Week 5, v TB, CBS: Maybe.
Week 6, at JAX, Fox: No. LAR on Fox at the same time.
Week 7, on MNF: YES
Week 8, BYE WEEK: No.
Week 9, on SNF: YES
Week 10, v AZ on CBS: Maybe. LAR on Fox at the same time, so CBS will probably show a morning game instead.
Week 11, at LAR: YES
Week 12, at TN, on Fox DH: maybe.
Week 13, v MIN, on Fox: maybe.
Week 14, at ATL on Fox: Maybe.
Week 15 v IND on CBS: no. National game is GB-DEN.
Week 16, on TNF: YES
Week 17, at CAR on Fox: Maybe. Might get moved to Sat, otherwise part of a DH with no LAR, LAC game, no real competition at the mo’.
Week 18, at SF: No. Unless SEA or LAR game is moved to Sun night, then Yes, or Maybe, respectively.
Surprised at how few “same time as LAR/LAC” there are.
I’m curious about the confidence in Darnold getting better. This is his 8th season and 5th team and he’s only had one successful season which was last year. I mean maybe he’s a QB who turned a corner and will be good going forward, but maybe last year was just a flukishly good year for him in an otherwise very undistinguished career so far.
But then Seattle did get a lot more out of Geno Smith than I expected.
