Seahawks Are Still For Real This Time

Pretty late in the season for a preseason game.

Essentially, those playing are playing for their jobs/careers.

OK, watched it – 42 minutes – last night. I drove near the stadium during the game, thought to myself, I could have gone to this game and gotten out in time to pick up my son at LAX. Went to a poker room instead.

So, two thoughts: end of first half, LAR player’s knee hits the ground in-bounds, but ball is above the ground and outside the line. So stop clock? No way! But, yup, home-cooking call there.
Second one,… I don’t remember. Late in the second half.

Unfortunately, this is not an uncommon occurrence. I don’t have a problem with the referee’s call; the problem is that the booth doesn’t review plays like this when that is their job. The booth also misses reviews of close 1st down calls when teams are hurrying.

I thought they did review it. I was on speed-watch, but I slowed down to check this.

15 teams had 10 wins this year. 14 made the playoffs, Seahawks did not

Been there. Done that. Fired the coach.

Eliminated Teams they lost to:
NYG
SF

Playoff Teams they beat:
LAR
DEN

So, pretty mediocre. “Tipping point” game seems to be NYG. LAR loss was critical as well.

A lot of the season swung on stupid-ass defensive penalties.

The 1-5 stretch didn’t help.

Better than a 0-10 stretch

What happened? Started 3-0, ended 6-2.

It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish. Also, how you middle.

The Lions and Bills were both just better teams that stompped them. SF and LA were both divisional games that were 1 score games into the 4th quarter. The Giants was the unforgivable loss.

Yep.

The Seahawks were 7-1 on the road this season with that one loss being against a very good team, Detroit. They had the misfortune to play the Giants at home.

Did something happen to 12th Man this year?

Especially middle of the road.

On this day in 2014 we were all celebrating the Seahawks Super Bowl win. I remember it being on Groundhog Day.

Seems like only yesterday. Just wish they had done it the next year as well.

Give the ball to Marshawn Lynch!!!

This is like our version of Red Sox / Buckner.

I remember it well. I went to a party at a friend’s. He had a bar and grill tiki stand in the backyard, with a working TV. However, it was chilly and drizzled all night. That kept the partygoers indoors. Good. They would have been a distraction for me.
Great result.
