I saw a guy do this at a local running store. The employee did not seem phased at all, must happen all the time. The first two panels I mean, not the activity between the third and fourth.
Perhaps they could do a fitting like they do a wine tasting. $5 to get fitted and if you buy, you get your $5 refunded.
How much off, I wonder?
$50? Sure, shoe store can go fuck off.
$5? Eh. I get them now, and I know they fit.
My time has some worth, after all.
if I’m trying new shoes and they fit at the store, i buy them at the store. then i replace them by buying the replacement online.
I do this. I get fitted about every three years, just to see if my feet or stride have changed enough that a new brand performs better. Buy them in the store, then replace off Amazon for the next couple of years.
I just got fitted. Still the same as before.
never change T-roy!
This is the way. They deserve initial compensation, assuming if I feel that the person who helped me did a good job and gave me solid advice.
5 miler in the books. Felt really good.
“I’ll take it!”
Went to a new run club that is starting up tonight. I was the only one that showed up. I’ll keep going cause I enjoy the route.
You mean the only new recruit that showed up? I hope at least one club organizer did.
Ugggghh. Since I was the only one that showed up the lady that was leading it “went to work”.
I asked her that I’d help advertise the club, show up on Monday’s and be a backup leader of the group if there was ever a time that she couldn’t come.
Perhaps I should post this in a different forum where it will be seen more, but I’ll start here since it’s 100% running related.
On Facebook I joined the “Slow AF running group” Redirecting...
It appears to be a friendly, generally supportive group, where the biggest arguments are over some people posting times that many members couldn’t even hope for, thus why are they posting in “Slow AF”. :meh: IMO
However I can’t post anything, Every post I try to make is declined, with suggestion that I review the Group rules.
These are the Rules
They are (maybe not the very first one I tried)declined instantly. No possible human review, so I must have gotten on some kind of shit list. I could even see that very first post have being interpreted as not kind and courteous, though it was not intended that way and I would have no problem defending it as appropriate (even if some might not agree it was OK). But getting on a permanent shit list? ridiculous.
I’ve tried contacting the group administrator and both group moderators by facebook messenger, but got no response; no way of even knowing if my messages were read.
Any suggestions about what I could do? (Any chance deleting cookies would help? Not sure I want to delete all cookies, but perhaps delete all Facebook cookies, if those are easy to locate.)
deleting cookies won’t help. They’re just ignoring you unfortunately.
I could go sleuthing, figure out who they are IRL, doxx them and then we show up to have a snorkeling party at their house. failing that, ignore I guess.
Too bad. A slow AF running group would be a real boon to folks like me who have no hope of ever running fast.
