RIP thread

Yeah, I haven’t followed her career or kids at all… just knew her as the daughter of Elvis and, briefly, the wife of MJ. I don’t know if I knew she’d married Nicholas Cage and I don’t know who the two other guys are. But I don’t really follow celebrities much, so :woman_shrugging:.

Still most people seem to say nice things about her, so RIP.

Pretty young and her mother outlived her

Elvis and his family have all had relatively short lives.

The King’s grandparents were COUSINS and may have passed on gene responsible for Elvis dying at 42, his mother at 46, three uncles in their forties… and Lisa Marie at 54

New year is really starting off with a bang bang of celebrity deaths.

RIP Robbie Knievel.

I’ve said this before. There are exponentially more “celebrities today” than 30 years ago; there will be more celebrity deaths.

I’m surprised he was 81 and also surprised he made it to 81. RIP I always did enjoy CSN (&Y)

Only Michael McKean from the original cast left. The show was how I found out about a city named Milwaukee (and am now a proud Brewers fan).

Melinda Dillon, 83. On January 9th(?), reported today. You may not know the name, but you know her roles. I loved her in everything.

RIP Tom Verlaine from the band Television. Made tons of great music.

RIP, Burt Bacharach. Many great songs to remember you by.

Shame he couldn’t wait until after the weekend to see if his birth city could win another Super Bowl

What the world needs now . . . is to play this song . . . to honor Burt.
