Cher just lost her mother, Georgia Holt, RIP
Only time I cared to watch soccer was the 70s when the NY Cosmos had a superstar team lead by Pele.
He was a mazing to watch
I played “Peel’s soccer” (or whatever) on the Atari 2600.
Let’s not forget Pele’s amazing goals when he played alongside Sylvester Stallone and Michael Caine in Victory
Barbara Walters at 93, per CNN
RIP
RIP Pope Emeritus.
Here is a little bit on what may be happening next in Rome:
My favorite Pele story follows below. RIP Pele.
“Twenty years ago, a gang of armed thieves stopped a car at a red light in Sao Paulo, Brazil. As they were in the process of evicting its occupants, they recognized one of them – Pele. The crooks apologized and sent the car on its way.
A year later, Ronaldo – at that time, arguably the best player in the world – was stopped in the same city in a similar fashion. He was also too famous to miss. The thieves took the car. Ronaldo ended up hitchhiking to a police station.”
RIP Ken Block. Ken was a tremendous entertainer, I really enjoyed a lot of his antics behind the wheel.
And It’s Hi Ho Silver Lining
And away you go now baby…
RIP Jeff Beck
Aw, that sucks. One of the greatest, and made it look so easy.
RIP
Such an amazing guitarist.
I hate seeing all my favourite musicians from the ‘60’s passing on. RIP Jeff Beck.
This was a big show back in the day but don’t really hear of it now. He had great hair.
Also, listening to all the ones I’m allowed to in this article on Rolling Stone:
“Stroll On” segment reminds me I should watch Blow Up again some day to see how well or poorly it has aged.
Another 54 year old dies.
I didn’t really know her music but she was famous for being the daughter of, the wife of, the mother of.
