I think Luke “died” and came back numerous times on GH (cut me some slack…I watched it in high school and sat with the girls at lunch to discuss!), but this may be it for Geary…
I was in college, never watched an episode, but it was a big deal.
Especially students finding a TV mid weekday
My fave Geary role was on UHF
Is that the draft dodger?
Ah: allegedly gay, cuz effeminate.
That was the episode where Archie thought Mike’s friend was gay, he wasn’t and Mike told him his tough bar friend was actually gay
If only I had Paramount+ to watch this show over…
One last time before I part due to death.
ETA:
Hmm, might be on Hulu. Trouble with Googling “X show streaming” you get a history of posts about Show X streaming, none of which are recent.
So, I’ll check Hulu…
ETA: Nope. Not there now. Maybe sometime in the past.
That was one of my favourite episodes. Loved Archie’s expression when he found out the truth.
and if It isn’t clear, that is Anthony Geary with Rob Reiner
Reiner also directed “The Sure Thing”. Haven’t seen it in a while, but I recall thinking it was OK when I first saw it.
RIP to the last Dionne quintuplet.
I played Trivial Pursuit last night. We had a question where the answer was the Dionne quintuplets.
We had never heard of them. What a story!
The Dionnes are much better known to an older generation.
My mother was fascinated by them as they were born eight years after her so she grew up with non-stop coverage of their growing up. There was also a local connection to them as the doctor that exploited them to his financial advantage was from our community.
Another person better known to my generation. Beautiful actress but controversial views after her acting days had ended. RIP Brigitte.
RIP
The hubby has a cousin named Brigitte. She married a guy whose last name is Bardot. She kept her maiden name because she didn’t want to be called Brigitte Bardot…in France! Too bad. I wanted to tell people that we were related to " Brigitte Bardot".
Typical right-wing philosophy: “I decide who has rights. Dogs, yes. Gays and Muslims, no.”
i knew a Grace Kelly, got the name through adoption, but her aunt was named Jean Kelly
have only seen 6 of her movies
I only saw “And God Created Woman”. Her later stuff was probably more artistic.
My initial thought is that I’ve seen more movies than you for once. But I’m not sure that I’ve seen more than 5 of hers….
