Based on my social circle, the GOP is turning a generation of young women who on average previously leaned slightly liberal into staunch Democrats.
Sorry, but if your political message in the week leading to election is “My opponent is a female c**t”, women won’t tend to flock to vote for you.
Yeah, all the Trump signs by me are blue. Almost all the R signs by me are blue, for that matter. And the D signs, of course.

He’s actually not wrong, although I’m skeptical that:
- Just ripping the band-aid off is the best approach;
- That the tactics being proposed are the right approach;
- The proposed decision-makers can be trusted to exercise good judgment in effecting the band-aid-ripping strategy.
Then again, with America’s inability to put spending and revenues in balance, I do wonder how close we are to “nuke it and start fresh” being a reasonable strategy.

Is Musk now a Trump spokesperson? Musks political ambitions have come out sooner than expected.
It would be interesting if he ever tries to be president and he owns x.
It will be forced on us if nothing is done…but I don’t really expect anything to be done (regardless of what Elmo says, assuming Trump wins).

I was thinking last night about how absurd it is that relatively speaking, Democrats are clearly the party of fiscal conservatism whereas Republicans are only socially conservative. Yet Republicans claim the title of fiscal conservatives.
Place a 100% tariff on all Chinese goods, deport what Trump says is 21,000,000 illegal immigrants (6% of America), runaway money printing leading to runaway inflation while pressuring the Fed not to increase interest rates, Musk is saying that we need to crash the markets and endure hardship.
Republicans make a stink out of fiscal conservatism when it’s time to obstruct, and only then.
