Musk awarded the first $1 million this evening to someone at the town hall, bringing the guy onto the stage and handing him a jumbo check, lotto-style. Musk is essentially incentivizing likely Trump voters in PA to register to vote: Petition is to support for 1A and 2A, so basically R voters. But they also have to be registered to vote, so if they weren’t already, they would do it now.”
Though maybe some of the other things Musk was doing were of murky legality, this one is clearly illegal. See 52 U.S.C. 10307(c): “Whoever knowingly or willfully gives false information as to his name, address or period of residence in the voting district for the purpose of establishing his eligibility to register or vote, or conspires with another individual for the purpose of encouraging his false registration to vote or illegal voting, or pays or offers to pay or accepts payment either for registration to vote or for voting shall be fined not more than $10,000 or imprisoned not more than five years, or both…” (Emphasis added.)
The good news is that if his efforts are successful, he gets a pardon.

A $10,000 fine means nothing to Musk. 5 years in prison might though.
I am sure the 5 years of prison is easy enough for him to lawyer his way out of it.

American legal system simply can’t handle Trump, Musk, etc. Too much political and financial power. They are both crybabies who think the legal and gov institutions are out to get them, so they will try to destroy these institutions.
Lock down all the assets that could possibly be involved, which is all of them, and start a lengthy investigation.
Freeze Musk assets and deport him to Venezuela.

He’d get it lawyered down (with the help of a right-leaning SCOTUS, if necessary) to a single count, assuming his new bestest buddy doesn’t pardon him for his assistance in getting elected.
SCOTUS would rule 6-3 that any laws against soliciting votes - even with cash payments or otherwise - is a violation of free speech under the 1st Amendment.

Fox News decided to defend the Nazi generals comment. I mean, they don’t think he said it, but if he did say it, it’s totally reasonable.
