I’m shocked that someone with a BS in Phys ed from Southern Arkansas would have difficulty understanding anything.

Just closing the loop on this.

The train from Columbia SC to Tampa has been out of service so my son’s decision was made for him. I suggested cooling his heels in Savannah for a few days as I found it to be an interesting city when I was there 40+ years ago. He takes the bus to Savannah today before proceeding on to Tampa later in the week. Any Georgians’ recommendations for things to see and do in Savannah are appreciated.

Tampa seems to have gotten off relatively lightly from Hurricane Helene.

Not content to stop at Hannibal Lecter, Trump suggests police be allowed a period of Purge like violence to clean things up. What could go wrong?

They’ve already got that. It’s called qualified immunity.

:joy::joy::joy:He is assuming he won’t be on the list of the people to purge

May I remind you of Reagan?

Plus, he’s just throwing out falsehoods, but there is no law against lying.

The only way to save America from one party rule is if everyone votes Republican forever. Truly a dazzling intellect.

Tell you what, it was an utter nightmare walking around town last night. 66 degrees, hardly a breeze, … the most noise I heard was from the MAGA folks racing around town in their big ass trucks with ultra-high lift kits while the police did nothing.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure the illegals were rioting and it was a real hellscape as I was out for about 90 minutes, but … well, you just have to imagine it was going on to make it real.

Musk also broke immigration law when he started his first company and raised 3 million in
venture capital while on a student visa.

The US should send Musk back where he immigrated to the US from. No wait, that’s Canada!

It’s peak Hurricane season so naturally Trump said no one was expecting a hurricane.

He really is dumber than a bag of rocks sometimes.

Sometimes? Like before hurricane season, during hurricane season, and after hurricane season?

If the majority of Americans vote for democrats, then the Republicans will just need to double down on their efforts to exclude as many votes as possible.

What I’ve read about that is that it’s unclear as there is not enough documentation available to the public to determine one way or another whether raising the VC was permitted.

Certainly he entered the country legally. Whether he overstayed when he decided to not pursue his PhD and exactly what type of work he was and was not allowed to do at that point is unknowable with publicly available records.

People on student visas are allowed to be self-employed. But if they’ve dropped out of school … there are rules and I think I read occasional exceptions to the rule granted.

To be fair, my family in Cincinnati was definitely NOT expecting a hurricane. Cincinnati doesn’t get hit by hurricanes. It’s nowhere near an ocean. Except… Friday they were hit by Hurricane Helene… by then a tropical storm as the wind gusts were “only” up to 70 mph. 74 mph is the threshold to define a hurricane, so strictly speaking they were 4 mph short of a hurricane.

Not that Donald Trump was any help whatsoever. He’s caused plenty of problems to the north of my family in Springfield… if he could just stay away from Cincinnati that’d be great.

Seems climate change is impacting how long and strong a hurricane’s effects will last.

Yep… they’ve been saying for decades that storms will get worse with climate change.

They’re not sending us their best!
