There is a suggestion that people with a secondary emergency phone turn it off. Even on vibrate or silent mode, it will apparently be noticeable so be safe.
Is it 2:22 local time, EDT, GMT, or something else? I don’t want to lose this deal!

Yeah, that was early.
There was a recommendation that people with hidden phones for safety (abusive spouses and such) turn these off during the alert, so as not to disclose their location to the abusers.

There’s probably millions of panicked people that didn’t turn their phones off in time because it was early.
I’m sure that will add to the conspiracy fervor.

I put my phone on airplane mode so it wouldn’t come through but then… as soon as i turned airplane mode off, it started blaring the alarm.
And now I’m thinking about the warning that was given to victims hidding cell phones and hope that didn’t impact any of them.

My phone was on vibrate and the alert just vibrated so hopefully it wouldn’t be overly obvious for them?
Mine was on vibrate and blared quite loudly. I was on the phone with someone, not sure if that impacted it. Surprised me, but I don’t feel at all zombie-ish.

Why do people still have the alerts turned on? My phone made no noise because I turned alerts on years ago (most likely when I bought the phone or immediately after receiving my first alert).
