Eh. Just a choice people make.
I got a notice about an earthquake a few seconds before I felt it.
My big disappointment from COVID was that we didn’t get zombies to come out back when we thought the world going into lockdown was an apocalypse.
If we didn’t get our zombie apocalypse then, I don’t think we should’ve expected one this afternoon.
The wireless alert system is coded such that certain kinds of alerts cannot be muted.
When I blocked flood and amber alert messages, I noticed that “Presidential alerts” (I might have the name incorrect) could not be disabled.
Hmmm, I just noticed the alert is actually showing on my phone. I guess my phone is on silent so I simply didn’t notice it. Although I did hear many people’s phones making noise up and down the hall. Of course, I can frequently hear these people’s phones ringing as well.
Mine vibrated but didn’t make a loud noise.
Same for me, I was not able to turn off this type of alert. I turned off Amber Alerts after a 3 AM blast that somebody 400 miles away from me was missing and believed to be 450 miles from me. Turned them off and went back to bed.
I had my phone on vibrate and it still made a loud noise
Actual tweet from Florida’s Fire Marshall:

Is he saying that 70%+ Americans are snowflakes? That’s higher than I thought. Unless he just meant real Americans.
Ok boomer
I am one with the JSL and the JSL is with me.
The alert was unexpectedly loud i think on my iPhone, while the Samsung seemed normal. Both were set on silent. I jumped quite a bit as i was deep into thought wrestling with a spreadsheet at the time.
Are we talking about phones here?
If the thread drifts another 180 degrees, we’ll be back on topic
My husband’s bday is 1/6. Very fun.
Oh, guess I’ll just die, then.
So is my wife’s
