Reminds me of “I know you are but what am I?”
And Trump now thinks he beat Obama in 2016.

Considering the history around “born alive” laws and how Trump has campaigned on them in the past, i really think he is talking about the legislative opposition of most Democrats, not the specifics of the Gosnell case, since he was actually convicted. I brought it up to highlight the difference between active killing and failing to provide standards of care.
Yes, I personally know Republicans who believe that partial-birth abortions are commonplace in Democrat states.
Trump would know, he did ace his cognitive test after all
I hope you do your best to inform them.
Opposition to what specifically? Just recently he has called the Florida abortion ban “a terrible mistake”.
(Edit: I neglected to say these were my in-laws who I’ve mentioned elsewhere.)
They are hardcore MAGA/QAnon. The type where Fox News is for filthy liberals. They don’t listen to things like facts and reality.
They refused the COVID vaccine and instead took zinc and tried to find hydroxychloroquine. They refuse modern medicine (except for Epipens) and instead do things like drink water that had an amethyst in it. They hide loaded guns under MAGA hats around the house (including when kids come for Christmas, etc.) They fully believe that Hillary Clinton is a murderer and a pedophile, though I think they stop short of believing in drinking baby blood. They do not listen to logic.
[tan] In the “suggested topics” under you post was “The value of sending your kids to college.” I’m guessing your in-laws missed that boat.[/tan]
Thanksgiving sounds incredibly entertaining
Most recently, 2022 and 2023 federal legislation commonly called “born alive” laws that extend the 2002 law to require provision of care meeting standards to children born alive after a failed abortion.
I am under no illusion that Trump is pro-life other than in a political sense, if that is what you are getting at. He is definitely seeking a compromise position that he hopes will net him the most votes.
Give them credit for hiding the guns under something no one should have any interest in picking up.

A perfect fix!
Wasn’t sure where to put this but seemed like the prefect headline to sum up today’s GOP.
Peter Navarro:
Why would White House men - prez, vp, senior aide - EVER hire a woman after watching book pimps Cassiday Hutchinson, Alyssa Farah, Stephanie Grisham, Kayleigh McEnany, Olivia Troye throw mud @realDonaldTrump @RudyGiuliani
et. al. Pimp ladies be giving real MAGA WOMEN bad name
Pretty sure it’s 2023 in the non-MAGA world.
Only men are allowed to sling mud.
Women sling hash in the kitchen, barefoot and pregnant
Poor Guam. Has never gotten much recognition despite its strategic military importance.
In fairness (and0 it really pains me to say those words when referencing Trump), Guam isn’t an incorporated territory. The US owns it, but it isn’t part of the US and the Constitution doesn’t fully apply there.
Maybe this is a regional phrase but “sling hash” sounds like a jazzy way to say “deal drugs”.
I only know a bit about Guam but is it realistically any different than a modern colony? They don’t vote, they don’t get much federal aid… we basically said “we own you” and left it there.
