I had yet another surgery this week to remove an infiltrative basal cell carcinoma. Theyâre like whack-a-mole! It got me thinking as to whether any of these would actually ever kill me? However, from a risk management perspective, it seems wisest to just continue having these irritating surgeries.

MIL had one of those removed from her face this week. It was surprisingly large given she also goes to the dermatologist annually. Given the rapid growth Iâm sure she needed that thing removed ASAP.

I had to go back a second time for an earlier surgery as the follow-up pathology was inconclusive as to whether the surgery got all the carcinoma. I donât usually give my surgeon any advice but I told him to remove a bigger whack of skin than usual to be safe. Maybe this is what your MILâs surgeon did?
I hate to reopen old wounds.

me at an Arabic place, they asked me how many lines of hot sauce. I pointed at my face and said how many lines do I look like? A quarter line is what I got.

Hard to find anything positive about the awful massacre on Bondi Beach but this young manâs story was encouraging. As was CBCâs interview this morning with another young Muslim man who saved shooting victims with his medical assistance despite not being a medical person. Hope folks remember these brave individuals rather than just the shooter.

Went to my first PWHL game last night (Vancouver won). Was interested to see many of the menâs washrooms had been converted to womenâs, presumably because of the larger than usual number of women in attendance. The M on the menâs washrooms was turned upside down to imitate the W. Welcoming message to trans fans on all the washrooms.
