Could be a sequel to the maple syrup heist.

I was gonna take a picture then I figured the slaughter house might not like that.

I was inside the barn where they raise I think 50k chickens every 6 weeks. I was happy to see that conditions imo were good. lots of light food and water, room for them to move. I mean not ideal, I’m sure the chickens would prefer to live the wild life, but for captivity, I don’t have any problems with the conditions I saw.

not surprising I guess because they milk about 1000 cows and their dairy operation is immaculate, you can eat off the floor and the animals are all content and well treated.

I was in an egg factory farm years ago and those conditions were dismal. I didn’t eat eggs for a while after that.

Having been raised on a small dairy farm I am amazed at how large the modern operations have become. The capital investment is mind-boggling.

yeah you wouldn’t believe this operation. the stalls are self cleaning, water jets clean it up, the runoff is separated Inti sand and manure, the sand is reused. the milking parlour is a carousel that holds 50 cows. and when they get off the carousel they gates read their tag and move to sort them into things like this crew for hoof trimming, etc.

when they plant corn it’s gps mapped
then they have a robot that tours the fields 24/7 following the map, spraying a mix of water and manure directly at the base of the corn. apparently increased harvest by 50 bushels an acre.

and all of it maintained. like santas workshop. spotless.

I you travel outside the beaten track in developing countries, this is starting to become a concern

Have seen this problem pop up in Brazil recently so have been much more cautious about drinks in general.

When you can tell me what any (preferably every, but I’ll take just one) given team’s ā€œmeanā€ is for a season after 10-15% of the season, you can make the statement.

Good luck with this.

Interesting. One of the treatments involves ingesting alcohol.

I wonder if Temple Grandin was an influence there.

This has probably been pointed out many times before, but it just occurred to me for the first time.

Jesus and Yahweh are the original Good Cop, Bad Cop.

Ok, this is really funny.

Fly tipping…bad.

But dressing up as a t-rex while fly tipping is inspired.

I have never heard this expression.

It’s one of those quaint British expressions, e.g. ā€œI like a good shag on the carpet.ā€

Its not used in Canadaland?

Figured some UK transplants use the expression there.

Dastardly purple dinosaur was caught on CCTV in the early hours dumping two bin bags before swinging round a lamppost. Now an appeal has been made to catch him.

How do they know it was a he? I couldn’t see any genitalia. Perhaps the female dinosaurs aren’t purple?

Nope.
I’ve heard the term before so I knew what it was after some thinking, but it’s definitely not a Canadian term.

I was familiar with it only because I lived in the UK for a few years.

I was advised by my spouse that our family isnt affluent enough to use real vanilla flavouring. Its the artificial stuff for us.

Guess i better grind harder so we can afford the good stuff.

That’s grounds for divorce. Like, imagine NerdAlert’s husband saying that they can’t afford decent balsamic vinegar.

The ā€œsoft butterā€ sitting on the counter is hard. That’s perhaps a sign that I keep the house too cold, but I love my sweaters.
