I’d like my next car to be electric, and maybe I should have considered a Prius or some hybrid. I like my Civic and don’t regret it at all. My wife and I are a one car family (she doesn’t drive) and so I have to be able to go 5 miles or 500. I’m also hoping in ten years time the infrastructure will be better.
I have a Volt, there is a decent back story on why but part of the why is I wanted to get a toe in the water with an EV, but when I got it five years ago the charging infrastructure was pretty awful. Even Tesla’s charging network wasn’t that great in 2018.
Starting with a plug-in hybrid was great, zero range anxiety, go anywhere no sweat. And, most weeks I burn zero gas. Running on electrons is clean and really inexpensive. Or the new Prius is a solid option. 197hp is nothing to sneeze at! And it (finally) looks really cool, imo.
Or, if you’re not gonna be in the market for a while, just sit and see how many chargers get built.
Got some Duke’s mayo. It’s… fine. It is a little tangier (twangier?) but I don’t quite get the hype. It’s mayo.
Not all mayos are equal, and there is no ubiquitous best! Never tried Duke’s, but I prefer Kraft mayo in pasta or potato salads and Hellman’s (room temp only) on fries. And miracle whip on sandwiches. I might try to find Duke’s, because I like mayo. As a kid, I used to eat plain mayo or miracle whip sandwiches.
I’m sorry I didn’t approach you sooner with this decision, lol. Didn’t know we had a mayo SME here.
I normally like Hellman’s. I used to prefer Miracle Whip but I guess my tastes changed and now I just buy regular mayo. I kept hearing about Duke’s and last week I had mayo on the shopping list, my local grocer now carries it, $4, sold.
@NerdAlert I need input, I just saw this in the Asian section of my grocery store. Kewpie mayo. It’s refrigerated, and it’s $7. Should this be my next mayo? $7 is steep but I’ll try it for science.

Yes, and report back, my interest is piqued.
I’ve gotta get through a jar of Duke’s I just opened tonight first. It’ll be a bit.
I made my own mayo once…according to the internet it should have been a life changing experience…in the end, I didn’t quite get the hype. It was mayo.
Old family story: Mrs G’s grandfather just had to have his home-made mayo. Grandma seemingly obliged. Until one day he caught her soaking the label off the store-bought mayo. Crafty woman, her.![]()
or was she being Krafty?
I think her response to his complaint was “Hell, man!”
from that response they would have to Duke it out.It would be a Miracle if he Whipped her
They were obviously not west of the Rockies. Otherwise his response would acknowledge that she brought out the best foods.
We’ve made mayo from our duck eggs. It’s pretty good.

My entire Youtube feed right now is either math-related or music-related.
Any suggestions for math rock bands, e.g. Minus the Bear?
ETA: am I the only one who didn’t know ‘math rock’ was a genre, or a sub-genre, or whatever? I just learned the term last year.
