How do authors always have so many people to acknowledge?

It takes a village.

Really?

Are you sure it’s not 2:35 the next day?

I don’t do mine around when I’ll be home. I set it for an hour before I leave for the day until 6 am the day I come back.

So, if I was int he office Monday and was gonna take off Tuesday and Wednesday, my OOO message would run from 4 PM (16:00) Monday until 6 Am (6:00) Thursday morning.

Why do some people put signs in their house like ā€œkitchenā€ in their kitchen or ā€œlaundryā€ in the laundry room?

It’s like why do we put the house number on our house, right?

I know where I live and don’t need those numbers.

Are you suggesting you wouldn’t know you were in the kitchen in someone else’s house if there wasn’t a sign in the middle that said kitchen?

maybe people were peeing in the sink

On that note, I’ve seen ones that say Bathroom too

I’ve been in houses where it’s not quite clear where the kitchen ends and the dining room/living room starts (and vice versa) . . . so yeah, the signs are helpful.

:stuck_out_tongue:

You have one of those kitchen signs in your kitchen, don’t you?

Last week I got 2 email notifications from Microsoft with a single use code to sign into my account. I did not request them. Emails look legit, so I assume someone is trying to use my email address to sign in to Microsoft. Should I worry about this?

Note this is completely different than the scammer emails about my ordering something with a big price tag from Microsoft. I get those sometimes too. 100% hit my spam folder, and they are typically obviously scams.

Not unless you use the same password for many different accounts (your user id and pw may have been compromised in one of them and it then gets sold to hackers).

They are doing large-scale brute force PW attacks on email addresses and using the stolen passwords.

If you change your password (or if you use one of those password managers to create it) to something unique it should be ok.

Nope

Why are so many gas stations and convenience stores owned and operated by people of South Asian and Middle Eastern descent?

What draws them to that industry? Or what drives other heritages away?

wait, is that not supposed to happen? i’m confuzed

They usually run the business as an extended family.

Makes it cheaper for them to run usually (everybody is basically on call if need be)

Also see it over here in the UK.
