Lounge pants on.

Also, people prefer seeing themselves the way they’re used to seeing themselves, which is a mirror image. We aren’t symmetrical and find our true image offputting, so lots of people will flip images to match their inner perceptions. Maybe that also applies to videos.

Yeah, my nose is crooked enough that when I see myself without the mirror image it seems like it is pointing at a 45 degree angle out from my face.

Is LinkedIn stupid or very stupid?

My SIL is obsessed with it, and when she teaches her own side classes she makes all of her students make a LinkedIn.

I see it as just a more pretentious, less user-friendly FB.

How do actual hiring managers for jobs worth seeking generally see it?

At best, its like a digital resume.

At worst, its that with a facebook screed/feed attached to it.

I use it sparingly

I used to like LinkedIn, when it was a digital version of my resume and I could connect with people I have known professionally, see their work updates after we have parted ways, etc.

I absolutely hate it now and barely get on it. It drains me. I’m tired of how THRILLED everyone on there is, and how much of it is written by AI, and how everyone on there seems to have this loud, disruptive brand. Not my style.

A lot of ice scrapers for vehicles are red or blue (some yellow). Is that a political…?

Ohhhhh nevermind!

Mr. Goodbar is basically peanut bark.

Looking for Mr. Goodbar was a thriller.

Whoops, that was supposed to be a random thought.

Um … What is, Mr. Goodbar is basically peanut bark?

Okay, then… Was Looking for Mr. Goodbar a thriller or an Easter Candy hunt?

Does anyone remember where I wrote down how the “crypto reserve” is going to be used to screw American citizens at the expense of a small handful of already rich people?

No, but I was writing a bit about that here:

anyone ever experience this flying?
The departure time being moved earlier

Yeah, by 5 minutes. Might be a crew rest issue. Or they need to be in the air by 3:00 because they have an agreement with the airport and several other flights are delayed so to avoid a fine / extra fee they’re going to get that one out early and maybe one or two others.

This is part of why they now say that you have to be on board 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure… to give themselves some leeway.

I’ve seen this sometimes too

When you set your Out Of Office message, when do you schedule it to end?
Assuming you get home Thursday 7:00 p.m.

End of workday Thursday
When you are home
Start of Day Friday
Something else?

I tend to start of day Friday, as that is when I will start to deal with stuff

This is the way.
